If your gluten free watch out for the extra charges which really don't need to be added if your just getting grilled fish, no other fish n chip shop charges extra for that!!!! Walked couple hundred yards up road and saved $10's and was beautiful

Less than average.Starting with the positives - large servings.However, the meals at this establishment lack flavour and are very expensive. The 'extras' wow, $4.50 for a side of avocado. I was quite shocked.My 5 year old is quite a fussy eater however has a true love of pancakes, so after a morning bike ride that's what he ordered. Unfortunately the pancakes came with fruit and when I asked for them to come with 'syrup only' as they were for a child the man who believed to be the owner made a face as if to say my request for my son was an inconvenience to his kitchen team.While eating breakfast, another patron fell down the front entrance stairs. She was okay, but the truly disappointing thing was, that no-one from the café bothered to conduct a welfare check on the customer, they just acted as if it didn't happen.

Far and away the worst grilled fish I’ve ever had. So tough and chewy. The calamari was cooked well but had no taste to it and the chips were cold. The kids meal was big and ok, so that’s nice. Can’t believe we wasted $30 on the rest of it when it’s utterly inedible. There is plenary of choice on the road, don’t make the same mistake we did.

This is the best Haloumi salad I've ever had. Really generous portion size too.The young lady who served me had such a sweet smile on her face.I was googling all over for a place that was open late, that would be quiet and peaceful. At first I wasn't sure if Pelican's Nest would be a good spot. But they have a beautiful enclosed area, that blocks the wind, and has lighting, and fairy lights for nighttime.I've found such a gem at this Cafe. It's great because it offers a nice view of the park across the road and a bit of the bay. The fresh air is so nice.Even though there's fan (not that noisy) and we're beside the road, cars driving past. I like that there's no music playing (Zarraffas where I normally go for a quiet place doesn't always have great music, and can be loud).I'm so glad I came here today. Really wonderful first time experience. ❤

Great place for a quick breakfast. The Pelican’s may not be the most luxurious place for breakfast in Wynnum, however, after being here a few times, the consistency and food choice remains great and the main reason I continue to go.

My husband and I came in here for coffee and a quick bite last week and the lovely girl working there (Lauren?) made me the best coffee I’ve ever had! Definitely a returning customer!
