KWC Krav Maga

Instructors Paul and Chris from KWC Krav Maga run classes in a highly supportive and welcoming environment. As a beginner, my experience has set me on a journey of learning self defence techniques rooted in reality.The classes are designed to accommodate and empower students with varying experiences, skills and fitness levels.A standout experience for me and one that I will not hesitate to recommend to any individual interested in a hands on, friendly, insightful and fun class. After moving to the area and seeking a closer krav gym to train at i gave kwc and the castle hill krav gym go. As a current P2(trained elsewhere) student and the kwc gym only being arounds for a few months the students were still learning the basics. However during training, students were rarely corrected on incorrect form or taught correct striking techniques utilising the whole body. A clear lack of basics, fundamentals and guidance. Something which after being around for a few months they should already have drilled into them. One of the instructors seemed very arrogant whom seemed to single me out to try correct me but would walk past almost everyone else.Instructors are unaware of their surroundings with an instructor throwing the other instructor against a wall onto the wall hooks which could have caused serious injury. In all it felt very much more like a PT session. I wish i had seen their social media videos prior to attending a few sessions which would have saved me the time. I am now happy driving the additional 10-15 minutes and going to my prior gym.

The absolute best place to train! It is fun, interactive, informative and you can let off steam with some friendly sparring.Chris and Paul teach you real life defensive skills that you can benefit from with proper form and techniques. Everyone is really friendly and make you feel welcome.Wish I heard about this place sooner!

Having studied Krav Maga at other locations, it’s great to find a school like KWC, there is a sense of community at KWC that I have not found at any other KM school.The instructors, Chris and Paul, are highly trained and teach actual skills that can keep you safe in real life situations. They have created a safe learning environment for students with varying skills, continuously checking and correcting techniques. Both teach in a manner that is very approachable, and you don’t feel uncomfortable or embarrassed asking questions.If you are looking for a fun and friendly environment, where you can learn to protect yourself and how to fight, whilst also improving your fitness and confidence, then I highly recommended KWC. I’ve actually already have referred a number of family members and friends, who are also enjoying KWC.

Having trained in self-defence over the years gone by, one thing I remembered was that whenever you found a school with a welcoming atmosphere and good bunch of people to train with, the training itself was usually lacklustre, OR when you did find a school with great training, the instructors created an atmosphere of intimidation and fear, almost to the point of bullying. It was near impossible to find a school that had a balance of atmosphere and training.However, KWC Krav Maga is a self-defence school where you not only train alongside a great bunch of students, but are also taught by professional, respectful and highly skilled and elite instructors in Chris and Paul. The scenarios taught reflect real life situations, and the instructors go into detail on why certain moves are executed the way they are.Through KWC Krav Maga, my fitness levels are improving week on week, and my confidence to deal with situations continues to increase. I am blown away by how the instructors take the time every lesson to establish key fundamentals, ensuring we are well grounded in the basics, and how Chris and Paul will spend time with each student, observing individuals techniques and strikes, and bringing correction where needed.I highly recommend KWC to anyone out there wanting learn the art of Krav Maga, wanting to grow in confidence and situational awareness, and wanting to improve levels of fitness and physical ability, in an atmosphere where we start out as fellow students, but become family. I cannot recommend KWC highly enough! I have done a couple of different types of martial arts over the years and this is by far my favourite. Paul and Chris are fantastic instructors with a lot of knowledge. They teach you self defense that relates to everyday life situations. I look forward to the next class every time!
