Chinese food for Western tastes. Servings are as ample as the customers (sorry couldn't resist that), service is fairly prompt and what seems like a Malaysian (could be Singaporean) manageress welcomes you will all the charm of a hospital matron gushing to usher you to a table. We had the chicken sweet corn soup which was good, the Shichan chicken was watered down to leave no trace of Sichuan, the veggies were fine and the caramel milk shake was expectedly disappointing. The BBQ fare so typical of a real Chinese restaurant was conspicuous by its absence rendering the joint's Chinese decorations to prove misleading. Will i repeat? No. Will you? Not if it's the real deal you're after.

Portion is ok. Taste is not bad, more on the safe side of cooking, would prefer a more traditional charred cooking style. Price is rather on the expensive side however great service and live music balance it out.

Dinner Tuesday 13th June, nice atmosphere, industrial like feeling with the concrete floors and high black ceilings, very nice waitress, happy and seemed like she loved her job. The food was very nice, the only thing I would say was the salt and pepper prawns were a bit dry, maybe a dipping sauce to go with them would be nice, but in saying that, the prawns were very nice and a very good size too. We will definitely be going back there again.

I appeased my wife by going. It only confirmed my dislike for Chinese food. The waitress was pushy and a bit rude. The place is all black and very unappealing.Food was cheap and edible.

Warning what I'm about to tell you is the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god.We took a chance on this place as our favourite Chinese restaurant was full and it was a big mistake.The dim sims were tough, chewy and barely warm in the middle.While waiting for the main course i found out i was sitting next to Louie the fly. Not sure when they last cleaned the place.The crispy chicken with chilli sauce didn't even remotely resemble its description. It was dry, sad, soggy and there wasn't any chilli or spice at all.The beef with black bean sauce was ok but my misses can make better at home and the fried rice wasn't any better.All in all i would highly recommend you stay away from this place. Would like to give it zero stars but have to give it one to be able to submit review.Feel free to give it a go for yourself but dont say i didnt warn you.

Hi I have been to new fortune palace many times for parties and with my family and the food there is fantastic. It is the go to Chinese restaurant in western Sydney The customer service from Annie the waitress was the best. And is great on Saturday nights with live music. Highly recommended

Better than expected. Great tasting food, quick food (waited less then 10 minutes), attentive service, great atmosphere, fair prices.There is also a bar, a disco ball and small dance floor, nicely set tables, clean and comfortable.Got sweet and sour combination had a smokey, surprising but delicious flavour. Fried rice was slightly bland. Honey chicken made with real chicken was nice.Waitress very responsive and quick to serve.Meals came out very quickly.
