Small botanical gardens, easy to walk around, great displays. The Japanese garden is just beautiful. There is also a gift shop and cafe within the gardens.

Strongly recommend this visit if you have the weather on your side. We spent about 2.5 to 3 hours here. Our highlights were the cafe, the food garden (there were a few full grown giant pumpkin), the conservatory. We got some great pics. We had a beautiful day and thoroughly enjoyed our time here

One of the greatest Botanical gardens I have ever visited. Compact and easy to browse. Enough tags and info. the biggest collection of ferns including, cold, subtropic and tropic, nice collection of palms. A beautiful Japanese garden. (both design and collection is excellent) Even a vegie garden which is great for kids to learn while discovering. There is an arctic conservatory too, sadly it was not open for public at the moment. Next time i wish. Overall a great place for info and recreation.

Wonderful garden worth the trip with some beautiful specimen and old stone buildings (it is over 200 years old). The bottom of the garden is a bit noisy because it is next to the highway but the top isn’t. The tea room and the shop are both lovely and the service very friendly as are the ducks…

I had visited the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens many times and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The gardens are incredibly beautiful and well-maintained, with a stunning array of flora from all over the world. From the Japanese Garden to the Lily Pond, every corner of the gardens is bursting with colour and life. What really stood out to me was the knowledgeable and friendly staff who were happy to answer any questions and provide insight into the different plants and their histories. It was clear that they had a passion for what they do and were eager to share it with visitors.I also appreciated the range of amenities available, from the on-site restaurant and café to the various picnic areas and walking trails. It's the perfect place for a relaxing day out with friends or family.Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. It's truly a gem of Hobart and a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Tasmania.

Such a peaceful place to visit. Has a Cafe and shop but the draw card is the garden layouts, especially the water gardens, and even an Antarctic ice house!

This is a lovely garden, with amazing variety of trees from across the world. Esp very beautiful during autumn much when the leaves are changing colours. Do go to the ponds where you can catch some nice reflections. There is a nice cafe and a shop which offers lot of local Tasmaninan produce and products. Toilets are available, a lot of area is also wheel chair accessible and ample parking outside
