Strathfield Golf Club Events

This place is a hidden gem. We were invited by family friends and not sure what to expect on Australia day as we hadn't been to the club before.Lovely food, lovely service, lovely views.My hubby and I were in the area and visited again midweek a month later and again great food and great service.Will definitely be a place to go with friends and family.

The staff were amazing. We unfortunately had to arrange a wake here and everyone was so kind and compassionate. Highly recommend if you have an event to use this place! Thank you all so much once again for you support and compassion. You are truly wonderful people!

Customer service here is first class (and props to Diana for assisting us to help us plan our son's first birthday party). Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to make alternative arrangements but will definitely be back to plan our next event!

Thank you to SEC staff, especially Stoney, Julie and Dawn for the amazing 90th birthday celebration that we had for my Nonna.The room and tables were beautiful, the food was delicious and generous. Everyone commented on how lovely it was, we were attended to in every way.

Nothing out of the ordinary. In fact the cafe and buffet food service was badly organised and a bit of a bottleneck for the 90 people who had to get coffees and eat.

Wow, what a venue! This place is something else - beautiful outlook, gorgeous setting, great food, attentive service, kind and empathetic staff. We held my father in law's wake here.SEC thank you for making a difficult afternoon beautiful.Definitely recommend.

I would love to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the staff of Strathfield Event Centre.The process from beginning to end has been seamless!!! Words cannot express how satisfied everyone was with the evening.We held a bridal shower for my best friend at this venue – and everyone was so stunned at how beautiful the venue came out – especially with the rain pouring down!!!!!!!!First let me start with Diana – she answered all our (many, many) questions extremely promptly and with accurate, to the point, answers. She has been a pleasure with her patience and her flexibility with us as her clients. I felt so looked after and cannot recommend the venue and Diana enough!! I cannot express how accommodating and helpful she was to us – this event could not have gone as smoothly if it weren’t for the instrumental and incredible help of Diana!!!!The food at the venue was SPECTACULAR!!!! We were extremely IMPRESSED by how DELICIOUS and plentiful the food was!!!!!!! We are ethnic so we have a high bench mark for flavourful food – and all my guests were constantly commentating by how DELICIOUS the food was!!!! A big big shout out to the cooks who are doing a FABULOUS job!!!!!!!!!! The food is INCREDIBLE!! I will definitely be back with my family to eat the delicious food there.The staff helping us set up was SO friendly and helpful throughout the set up of the venue and during the event. They were polite and speedy with their beverage and food service.All in all, 5/5 for this venue and its incredible food and staff!!!! I cannot recommend this venue enough and am raving about it to all my family and friends still!!!Thank you so much to the amazing staff at the venue for making this event so special and a pleasure to use. Beautiful club house & venue centre. The pop up Tapas ^ Paella or Dumpling Bar is a great idea, but probably better staying with the dining or bistro menu.The staff are attentive although a little slow getting dirty dishes of the tables. Pet peeve of mine is being given the container at the table to dish up your own take away if you want to take it home. Nice variety of cocktails beer & wine etc. Enjoyed my night .

We used the event centre to hold a wake for my uncles funeral at Rookwood cemetery. The event centre is conveniently close to the cemetery, but has no views of the cemetery. Parking is no issue, with both undercover & off street parking.The function rooms are large and spacious, with floor to ceiling window views out to the manicured lawns & greens of Strathfield golf club.The problem with wakes is that you are never sure how many people are going to show up. Luckily the venue has processes in place, to handle this contingency with their food packagesThe food offered as part of the package is of high quality & bar prices are reasonable.Stoney, the event manager was very helpful in getting the event organized.So highly recommended.

We were treated like queens - so much attention !! Lovely food in well sized portions, lovely tea and the outlook divine. Count me in for another day at the Event Centre !!
