I had a ride on mower in for service for over 6 weeks. I called several times asking for progress just to be told shortly that they are waiting for parts, as i found out lster ot was an air filter. I eventually asked for the hose to be fixed and to cancel the service. The reason they gave was that they wanted to use genuine parts only and that there was a delay in the supply. My argument is that i would prefer after market parts to be used if it means avoiding a hold up.

Bought a mower. Had it for 1 day and noticed it was leaking oil. Took it back (Raymond Terrace). Suggested this prod was not fit for purpose. Surly and very aggressive employee slammed their return policy before us. Pointed out in terms of their own policy that had we been aware of the problem we would not have purchased it. Mr Nasty said “ I used to like my job but people like you mean I don’t.”Mr Nasty said it was just a simple issue and would be all fixed in 2 days - at most. Refused to discuss giving us a replacement.Fast forward almost 6 weeks ( yes really) and another employee called to say the mower is a lemon and will be replaced. He appeared to have understanding of customer service.Lodged formal complaint with Fair Trading and was told the complaint will take up to 10 weeks. Am indication of this sort of complaint I think.So now, we were given a new mower, as should have happened much sooner. Have shopped here for over 20 years but no more.

Buyer beware!!! Apparently there is retail price and then there is Taylor's retail price. Check with the manufacturer and or a 2nd dealer of your equipment for price before allowing Taylor's to proceed. I rang around and found 'original' part 50% cheaper from a dealer. Also the part was not what was required to fix the problem!!!!
