Piangil Free Camping

Lovely green grass, flat area and beautiful clean shower toilet but please remember to leave a donation in the box outside the shower facility otherwise this may not remain a free camping area

Lovely grassed area to stop overnight. Toilets and also a shower at the community centre for a donation. There's also a playground and tennis courts.

Lovely spot for an overnight stop. Amenities are clean and open 27/7.Including a shower. All for a donation in the box near the shower.

This is a neat and tidy place to stop for a night. We had two locals come over to check that we were ok and knew where everything was. Access to toilets and hot showers for a donation is always a bonus.It can probably only fit 4-5 campers comfortably - but like anywhere, first in best dressed (we were the only ones there).The camp kitchen is undercover with a bbq too.We had some people pull up through the night who were a little loud but didn’t bother us and left quite quickly. If you were travelling on your own I think you would feel quite safe given you are surrounded by welcoming locals with houses just across the road.

Clean toilet/shower room, lovely locals, evening chats with Harry were wonderful and full of history. Donation box infront of shower room. Local shop does tasty coffee. Great little town. Thanks a million.
