This is my third time using Simonidis Steel Lawyers. What i can whole heartedly say is Deano Simonidis and Ryan Brenson are two of the nicest Men, and best Lawyers ive ever met. My Partner Michelle, and I faced some extremely tough times in court. Being my third time dealing with Deano and his entire team, it wasn't until my first meeting with Deano with this (on my my third case, in my mind) extremely serious matter, that i walked out of his office feeling, relief, support and knowing i went to the right Firm again. The 3rd time in court was so stressful i hadn't slept in days, this was the first time i had seen Deano's ,what i call game face, as Deano was preparing to enter court, his entire demeanour changed, i can only describe this focus as determination. Deano and Ryan had prepared such a a strong case, that the judge didnt even let him finish his opening statement. He defended me so well yet again. Everything Deano and Ryan said would happen did and i walked out feeling such a relief and my partner Michelle and i were so impressed. I wanna mention Ryan as i dealt with Ryan a lot over the phone and in the prep to court, he's a lovely, intelligent lawyer who also had this ability to talk to me in a way that i was able to think without letting emotion get the better of me.I could go on all day about how bloody great these guys were as both gentlemen and Lawyers. You and your family are in the the best of care with Simonidis Steel Lawyers. Both with legal representation and financially. When all this family legal issues started, Deano was the fifth lawyer i sat down with. I thought i was just kidding myself as his hourly rate was more than that of the first 4 i approached. HOWEVER the final cost was 1/3 that of the others and has come in under on all three occasions. He was also the only Lawyer to say my son had rights, while 3 of the other 4 all seemed to want to pray on my emotions.And finally the office staff, everytime i rang up, they were all very nice, understanding and helpful. If you have no choice but to go to court, you are in the best hands here. These guys will not let you down.

Mine was a journey you dont want to have....... until I met Deano. Most of my divorce legal representatation was managed by what I believed to be one of Brisbane's best law firms. I was left decimated and very disappointed by what I later believed to be glaring missteps and gross missed opportunities.Deano took over towards the end of my journey and is extremely thorough, a gentleman, and has a bat as straight and as good or better than Donald Bradman's.He very quickly identified remaining areas of concern and was extremely forthright and successful in pushing them through, to my eventual benefit. What a god send!!Some firms might just go through the motions without any real push back or scrutiny. Vexatious ex-partners can often mean nice income.Mediation is another area where poor legal performance can be disasterous. Be cautious who represents you at mediation. I reviewed circumstances of mine with Deano after I switched firms and mine had no prior planning with me nor complete disclosure from the other side prior. Something that is unacceptable to Deano.I was getting pushed and pulled all over the place and Deano arrested that trend immediately. He identified flaws in orders that should have been identified earlier and then used his legal expertise to smartly conclude my affairs in a brilliant fashion.My legal fight was not overly complex, I believe it was motivated by unfair greed. There were health issues on both sides, a vexatious ex-spouse, a business in disarray and gross and multiple supheanas issued without fair challenge. Nor proper follow-up for enforcement of Court Orders. I received poor advice around strategic DVO proceedings - no history ever around DV. I needed a legal team that believed in me and wanted fairness not billings.It pains me to say that after revealing my prior dealings to Deano when we first met and after a review of my case files and the advice I received, I am confident that if I had engaged Deano & Simmonidis and Steel as my original legal representatives my story would be very different. No very obvious missteps and or what should have been, standard opportunities would have occurred.I am not a lawyer and you are probably not one either - choose carefully. Promises are cheap but action is what counts and I can testify to that. When you go down the path of separation you need someone capable and engaged with you on your side, I mean someone really on your side. You don't want to be just another billable number. You need a lawyer with attention to fine detail, some one who knows the law and uses it for your benefit, I certainly found that with Deano.Choose your separation/divorce lawyer VERY carefully. For me after my painful journey I wish I had chosen Deano and his firm to represent me from the outset. If so I firmly believe the tone of my story would have been significantly different.Good luck you will need it if you choose poorly.

Deano certainly deserves all of these positive reviews. He put my mind at ease from the moment I had my first consultation with him. He made my case that I was stressing out over seem incredibly easy to over come. I literally walked out of mediation with a parenting plan exactly the way I wanted it, and my ex did not get a single thing he wanted. My ex partner was the one forcing me to go to mediation with a ridiculous proposal, and Deano was able to turn down the whole thing no worries. I believe my ex's lawyer was very intimidated by Deano and he must have known he did not stance a chance with Deano representing me. What started out as a very stressful situation for me ended up being quite funny, because we had such a strong and easy win!If I need a family lawyer again I will always choose Deano.=)
