The Veil Collective

The reasons for my TVC rating are due to poor communication and a problem with my dress...I had no trouble booking my appointments through TVC and the communication initially started quite positively. However, it changed once I had ordered my dress 11 months out to my wedding date. I confirmed my dress order with TVC in May, I then heard from them with an update on shipping in July, and I didn't hear anything else. I emailed in mid-December and then again in mid-January but was not ever told specific shipping dates from the designer. I was initially told in person that my dress would arrive in November, then it became late January, but the dress didn't arrive until early February after a few complications...My dress came from the Sydney designer, Love Honour in the wrong colour. I had ordered a white underlay and it came in blush, 10 weeks before the wedding. It caused me a lot of stress and I was very upset as I was not sure of the solution. I feel like this happened due to a lack of communication between TVC and the designer. I would recommend that the designer sends photos of the gowns to TVC along the way, and that they had more consistent phone/email communication because if this happened, we would have noticed the error and had it fixed before it was shipped. As a solution, the designer put all other dresses on hold and made my new gown in 2 weeks, after taking 11 months of waiting. I also asked for the new dress to be made to my length so that I didn't have to spend any more money on alterations. TVC phoned the next day to check that the measurements were correct, and we confirmed they were correct after measuring about 50 times just to be sure. When the dress came, an extra 5 cm had been added to the measurement we had given, so I ended up having to spend an extra $120 on hemming as I couldn't walk in the dress without holding it up.TVC is a beautiful store and I love that it stocks only a few designers. My dress was absolutely stunning in the end and I had SO many compliments on the style and make, however, an experience that should have been special and magical from start to finish, sadly ended in quite an upsetting and negative way.

For all SEQ brides starting your wedding dress search, I couldnt recommend The Veil Collective enough! They have stunning + high quality gowns for all styles and in all materials. The salon is beautiful and intimate and the service is so lovely! I CAN NOT wait to wear my Veil Collective gown in June!

I had a great experience at The Veil Collective and loved the range of dresses they stocked. I didn't feel overwhelmed walking into the store as I did in other stores, and the beautiful ladies never made me feel pressured into saying yes to the dress. The team communicated with me throughout the process, including when my dress had been made and was ready for collection. I'm so excited to wear my dress and so happy with my experience at TVC!

The most wonderful experience!Today I took myself, my mum, mother in law and nonna to Veil collective. The service, attention and advice received from Savannah was outstanding. My mother and I have been to a number of bridal salons now but the experience we received today was outstanding. Savannah’s knowledge of the dresses, the designers and what dresses would look best on me was amazing. Savannah made this an extra special day by going the extra mile. I came here on a recommendation from a close friend and I can say I will also be highly recommending The Veil Collective to all my friends! Thank you again Savannah!

Attention all brides to be! The Veil Collective is the place to be for all your bridal needs! Jess and Jess were absolutely WONDERFUL to deal with, they were so patient with me as I was so unsure on what I wanted and tried on so many dresses, I was guided the whole way through with eliminating dresses they knew I wasn’t too keen on, keeping the dresses I loved in sight, not pushing me to buy on the spot, gave me time to think about everything and the communication the whole way through was just the icing on the cake! I found my dream dress and cannot wait to wear it in November all thanks to the amazing team at The Veil Collective! If I ever get married again I’m coming straight here for my dress❤️

The stores aesthetic feels really lux and the attention to detail from the staff makes the experience feel really genuine and one of a kind. The gowns are simply stunning with so many options for customisation on the dresses. Detachable sleeves are a thing! Would highly recommend for brides who are looking for that authentic experience with a team willing to go above and beyond.

All girls that we dealt with at The Veil Collective we all SO warm and welcoming. Everything was soo easy and taken care of down to booking appointments around busy schedules Jess especially went over and above and exceeded all my expectations when it came to all the little details. As well it was such a personal experience from trying on the dress at the beginning to then picking it up.

The moment I walked into the shop to look for dresses I was supported by Jess and never rushed. She gave me so much advice and I was even more touched when she remembered me and my gown when I went to pick it up the other day. Cannot fault this beautiful place! An exquisite range of dresses that are unique to all the other stores. Customer service is unmatched and I love that I didn’t feel pressured into buying anything. I also love that when you go here, there isn’t any other groups/brides trying on dresses. You get the whole place to yourself which just makes it feel that much more special. Absolutely obsessed with my dress and can’t wait to wear it on my big day!
