Craig (manager) was extremely friendly as were all of the staff, the locals were friendly and talkative and made us very welcome and then the food came out, lamb shank with mash to die for beautiful pasta with fresh king prawnsPlus it’s worth an overnight stay, still being refurbished but the newly completed gents and ladies was first class, the bed was new and comfortable and the silence after closing was deafening.Great time and worth the trip

We drove from Perth especially to have lunch here only to find that it's not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. Never mind. We drove back to Toodyay and had a very nice lunch at the pub there.

We had a delicious Xmas in July roast lunch of turkey, ham and veggies with all the trimmings.Beautiful old hotel having renovations done. Lovely drive 2Hrs from Perth.

Great Sunday pub food and cold beers.Tried the Funk Cider and that was nice for a change. But being a beer kinda bloke...well I always fall back to old habits.Easy parking, We were just doing a weekend wheatbelt pub crawl. Parked right next to our table on the verandah which is great.Steak sandwich was excellent and the fish burger very nice too.Didn't stay overnight so can't review the accommodation.Dog friendly like all the wheatbelt pubs which is why its nice to get out of town for a session.

Fantastic venue, great service & great Menu selection. Meals are BIG. Very enjoyable relaxed atmosphere. Very scenic trip to Bolgart, definitely worth a visit anytime you won't be disappointed. When I was there accommodation was fully booked. Staff are fantastic.

I had a perfectly cooked grilled fish. And there were a lot of steak sandwiches being polished off around me. I will be back for one of them next time

One night stay in this lovely pub. Renovated rooms, very comfortable. Good Manchester and towels. Bathrooms nice, newly renovated. Coffee, tea and breakfast items available. Very quiet. Also pub serves delicious food. Owners very hospitable and friendly

A great piece of Western Australia's history.Whilst being renovated, the pub was in great condition.Excellent quality food and portions, we had parmigianas, steaks and salads.Funk craft beers and the regulars on tap, really enjoyed the Funk NEIPA.Last but not least, Craig, Wendy and the staff were friendly and customer focused. Making sure our time was enjoyable.Not too far from the city, enjoy a weekend trip to experience a piece of WA history.

GREAT STOP for FOOD and SLEEP - It’s a bit of a work in progress but has all of the charm of a nice local hotel and pub. It was very busy with locals and I felt welcomed and comfortable to stay. I had the pan fried fish and the preparation was excellent, especially for a kitchen in a small outback town. Would suggest a bit more clean up of renovation supplies and equipment to reveal more of the old town charm of this great hotel.
