Blue Dive Port Douglas

My first experience diving was amazing. I was a little bit nervous before the dive, but our Dive Instructor Teddy made me feel so comfortable and safe. We did three dives in the day and I really enjoyed all three of them so much and without concern. Thank You Teddy for giving me a wonderful time. I would highly recommend Blue Dive for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, it is a smaller company which allows for a more intimate experience which is perfect for someone like me doing it for the first time. I can’t wait to go diving again!

Had a very GREAT experience! Roman is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He talks about the different types of coral and the types of fish. It made the experience even better. My dad and his gf were getting diving certified with Roman as I snorkeled. He always check up on me after they were out of the water. I felt so safe snorkeling and had such an amazing experience well exploring the Great Barrier Reef. Would highly recommend Roman and his crew for a memorable experience!

AMAZING. I put 2 of my kids into Blue Dive's PADI courses and the Blue Dive service was outstanding. Firstly, Mark bent over backwards to accommodate our changing needs - thank you for your patience. Terence took our diving classes and he was simply brilliant. We really enjoyed his company and he was super professional at the same time. Teaching kids a series of complex tasks is not everybody's cup of tea, but Terence was up for it. Patient, kind and very experienced and knowledgeable. Thanks Blue Dive. I am sure we'll be back next time we are in Pt Douglas.

Amazing experience completing our Padi open water diving certificate on the reef. Delighted we opted for Blue Dive in the end, as we received top notch training and guidance from the goat instructor - Roman!Felt really safe throughout, could always ask questions and got terrific insight into the reef.I'd never dived before but immediately felt confident diving with Roman, who was really patient, catered to our skill level really well and struck the perfect balance between fun and informative.Also, the staff aboard the boat were friendly and super helpful, great experience altogether.Scuba in Port Douglas is a must do, and do yourselves a favour and go with Roman at Blue Dive!Can't wait to return!

Teddy was our dive master on our dives out of Port Douglas. I have been certified for over 10 years, but my husband is a new diver. Teddy is one of the best dive masters I have ever encountered, and next time we come here on vacation, we will be booking with Blue Dive and Teddy! Amazing experience start to finish!

Had an Absolutely Magnificent time gaining confidence and knowledge of my new favorite pastime,diving w/Blue Dive Master divers Roman and Mark! As a senior citizen, I am learning and getting better every dive. I highly recommend anyone at least try them out for a learned experience.

Blue Dive and Roman are amazing!! Roman was our private instructor to help us complete our Open Water Certification. He was prepared, prompt, kind, patient, and kept it light with his great sense of humor. He was supportive and encouraged us with each passing portion of our certification. We really lucked out having him as our private instructor, and my boyfriend and I can’t recommend him enough! You can tell he is a passionate diver, he cares so much for the reefs and the ocean, and is extremely knowledgeable. We can’t wait to come back and dive with you all again!! Thanks for making our first dive ever in the Great Barrier Reef completely amazing!!

Had a great time getting certified with Blue Dive! My wife and I went on a trip to the reef and thought it was the perfect place to finally get scuba certified. Teddy was a fantastic instructor, great combination of keeping things fun, but also making us feel safe and like we were learning what we needed to know.Diving at the reef was otherworldly and is one of the most special things I've experienced. Highly recommend!

Whether you are a beginner diver or are on your 1,000 dive, Blue Dive are worth every penny.You could go out on a regular package on one of the boats out to the reef, but Blue Dive really take it to the next level. You travel on the regular boats (e.g Silversonic) but you have your own private guide for the day.You meet at the dock and everything is already taken care of. On the boat you can relax and then you get to do 3 dives, tailored to exactly what you want to do, with your private dive guide.If you like diving on your own agenda, in a small group, then it is worth paying the small amount extra to dive with these guys.Our guide was Teddy and he was amazing. We got to see everything we wanted and our group was just myself, my wife and Teddy. Much better than the default group size of one guide to 8 divers !You don't get to dive on the GBR every day - so treat yourself to a trip with Blue Dive, you won't regret it !!
