Bridgestone Select Tyre & Auto Wollongong

Push to do unnecessary repaires. Brought in a newly purchased used car to have tyres replaced. They tried to get me to get new brakes, saying it was urgent and I had no brakes left. I had just had it fully checked out and was told it had 50% left on the brake pads. 6 months and 10000km later, it was due for it's 60'000km service. No issues with brakes. Still around 50% left on the pads

Steven went above & beyond to place a tyre order that would arrive on the same day, as my vehicle required them urgently. He was very eager to help and it was an absolute relief being able to get my tyres replaced at the last minute and get back on the road.However 6months & 13,000kms later, the 2 rear tyres have worn out to complete baldness in tread, even after the wheel alignment they did on the car when the new tyres fitted fitted 6months ago.. called up to seek an explanation and Craig (the owner) was extremely rude, dismissive and very poor customer manners.When l mentioned l had already replaced the rear 2 tyres at another repair shop, his attitude changed into an angry tone as if l was now wasting his time, knowing he wasn’t gonna make any more money off me. He was argumentative and will look for any faults to blame you to avoid giving warranty on the tyre that they claim to offer.I get things happen that alter the wheel alignment, such as driving on roads with pothole but it shouldn’t wear the tyre out that soon.. Don’t trust the warranty they pretend to offer cos at the end of the day, they’ll try and pin it on you/your car and deny it has anything to do with the tyre.My mechanic assessed it and confirmed there were no issues that would cause the tyre tread to wear out that quickly. I wouldn’t write off Bridgestone completely as they’re still generally a reliable tyre provider, l would however avoid the Wollongong store due to the lack of quality assurance let alone following up on anything afterwards given the unpleasant and hostile temperament of the owner Craig.

Top guys, service and advice.Serviced my grand Vitara with honesty plenty of times.. would love to have kept returning to them anytime had I not moved to Canberra - but their service has encouraged me to stick with the brand.

Steven was very friendly and super helpful. I got a new set of RE003s and a wheel alignment. He ran me through the misalignment my car had and what they had done to fix it. They were very transparent and knowledgeable. Thanks again guys.

Always a pleasure dealing with Steve and his workers, from the moment I stepped in the door I was greeted with a smile and a wonderful polite gentleman. I was offered a cold drink or coffee, and had a lovely chat with the workers while my car was being completed.Very competitive price and very knowledgeable in all fields of the automotive industry.

I've now bought three sets of tyres here and service has been terrific each time. Steven and the team do their best to be competitive on price while providing good advice and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.

Called them this morning as my car told me that my back passenger tyre had low air pressure.Spoke to Steve and booked in for 12pm. Turned up Steve met me at the door.Came over and looked at my tyre, straight away he found a nail. He said we don’t stock these. As it cannot be fixed he suggested where I should go and have it replaced.Thanks Steve appreciate you helping me…

Excellent customer service. My Wife and I turned up without notice on Monday morning, we had a nearly flat tyre from a nail and had to urgently travel back to Sydney which was 2 hours drive. A shout out to Steve at reception who was really pleasant & helpful to us, assessed the car and got the boys there to fix the tyre straight away, nothing was too much trouble and we were back on the road in no time and for a fair price. I really appreciated that for our safety they also double-checked the other tyres for pressure and wheel nut tightness even though we hadn’t asked. Highly recommended.

Steven and team did amazing job on my 4 new tyers yesterday, great price and also video under the car what I've never had done before on a tyre change. Even went out way help a lady who had a flat battery .

Great service and advice, great on prices compared to 6 other tyre places I visited all in one day. Beat all others on price, and even gave $100 voucher to be used on a vehicle service. Highly recommend.
