Owen recently did a storm repair job at our place. The whole process from quote to completion was handled very professionally. Owen's workmanship is excellent and his easy going manner made the whole experience a pleasure. I have no hesitation in recommending Owen to anyone requiring his services.

We called Owen at Opal Carpentry for a quote to remove old windows and an old door in our lounge room and replace with bi-fold wooden french doors. The quote was very reasonable and the communication with Owen was excellent throughout the whole process.Owen was easy to work with and we had every confidence in his work methods. We have an old house which required some adjusting to levels inside and out. One of the main beams exposed was eaten out by white ants and Owen replaced the beam and managed each problem that he came across professionally and with minimum delay. We are very happy with the end result and would gladly recommend Opal Carpentry to anyone who needs work done.

This was for a small roofing truss repair. Owen was extremely helpful and gave a clear statement as to what was required to fix the problem. His quote was very reasonable, although he did warn that it would be a while before he could fit the job in. Since this wasn't an urgent repair, I was OK with that. What stood out was that he was diligent in keeping in touch about where my job was in the queue, and when the day arrived, he was great in notifying about the times and kept to them. He was thoughtful about not making a mess and minimizing any disruption. I would not hesitate in recommending Opal Carpentry to friends and family.

Owen did a great job installing some bi-fold doors at our place. He was quick to get back to me with a competitive quote and he was able to fit into our schedule perfectly. On site he was hard-working, organised, tidy, efficient and kept us informed all the way along. We are really happy with the result and would definitely use Opal again.

I had Owen come in March 2022 to replace high roof fascia boards and front wooden structural design due timber rotting. He had to use scaffolding to do the repair for safety measures. The work was carried out as specified in the quote, which was only couple days and completed in couple days. Very good workmanship.At all times, Owen updated me with any unknown problem with my roof/fascia and provide solution to fix and when he leaves for the day as he has access to the security code to my villa. He was punctual, friendly and super easy to deal. Highly recommend to anyone that requires his services. You will be satisfied with his workmanship.

I hired Opal Carpentry to install a partition wall with bi-parting cavity doors. I had a specific vision in mind and the final result matches that vision. I had previously heard cavity doors can be fiddly but I had confidence in Owen to get the job done and to do it well. I am very happy with the results as the wall and doors turned out beautifully.

We were very satisfied with the quality of the work carried out to replace rotten fascia boards. The quote was very detailed and we were pleased to accept it. Owen communicated with us frequently and very effectively throughout the work. He kept us up-to-date with progress which was unavoidably delayed by weeks of rain! More problems emerged requiring repairs to the roof, guttering, rafters, barge board etc and Owen explained these in detail before proceeding and resolving these issues successfully.
