Mari Court Resort

We stayed in the resort for a couple of months and it felt like living in paradise. The friendly staff at the reception was always helpful. We would definitely recommend!

Expensive for what you got. Lot of late evening noise through thin walls so earplugs every nights. Aircon worked, no door on one of the toilets (?!), recent renovated which was nice but poorly laid tiles left water from the main bathroom flow out into the apartment. Not close to any touristy businesses like cafes/bars/restaurants. Drop prices and this would get another star.

My partner and I lived there for 1 year during pandemic. We legt because of the on-site manager. He was such a bad person bad behaved. Rude all the time, racist (got annoyed all the time while we speak Spanish on the balcony) and he was trying to kick us out making false accusations. He even says he was the police at the resort so we have to do what he was saying lol. 1st review I did I had to take it off because he intimated me comming into the place I rented. I won’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

The apartment for our stay (#45) was nicely designed and seemed to be well equipped, but lacked comfort. The lounges had no seat left in them and you just sank, making it extremely uncomfortable. We also found that all the beds were very hard.Good location and friendly staff.Overall Disappointed, mainly due to lack of comfort for the amount of time and money spent.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here. The apartment was large & the gardens with pool & BBQ area are beautiful. Great area with the beach a few minutes walk in one direction & the main Rd, with a tram stop, a few minutes in the other direction. The staff are very nice & helpful. We would stay again.

We booked our family reunion here almost 2 years ago but due to Covid had to reschedule to now after a long and difficult communication with the new owners. This used to be our families favourite place to stay but we were extremely disappointed from checkin to checkout. Our apartment was dirty, covered in mould and flooded. The furniture was old and broken and there were not enough chairs or kitchen wear for all guests to eat or sit together. The security doors could not be locked and the bathroom door was broken so did not fully close. The power outlets were faulty and caused a shock when attempting to plug in a charger. The only aircon was in the lounge so bedrooms became unbearable at night (it’s autumn so would hate to experience summer). Advertised a games room and mini golf both of which were not available or non existent. It took us 7 days of calling and emailing all of the provided contact numbers to get onto the managers and received a very unhelpful ‘sorry it’s all body corporates fault’. Besides being unreachable via their own provided 24hr contact details (what if it was an emergency like a flooded apartment with faulty wiring that shocked us? Oh wait it was) their front desk was also closed for our first 2 days and then every morning and afternoon, when we finally got ahold of them they said we should have changed our days plans and spoken to them at the desk if it was urgent. Very disappointed and clearly does not demonstrate the 3.5 stars they say they have.

Great spot, walking distance to Surfers Paradise & Broadbeach, 1 min walk to beach. Lovely accommodation, undercover parking, train & bus route in close proximity. We would definitely stay again & highly recommend you do too.

Avoid like the plague.. dirty hot water for our entire stay, no hair dry, no TV remote, in adequate utensils, beds terrible.. management not sympathetic to customers request for refund..

The staffs of this hotel accused us of stealing a small metal cockatoo in Stairwell 5, Room 30 even though they know it is not true. Now they are keeping our bond of $250, not recommending this hotel at all.Response to Mari Court Owner:When we arrived, there is nothing beside the TV just the controls. Because you cannot find fault on us to claim our bond, you framed us. We cleaned the room and had to wash and vacuum the floor as you requested.Unfortunately, you still find a way to get our money through your bond. We should have damaged your hotel to see if the $250 bond is enough. FYI, you haven't returned our bonds. I will never recommend your hotel to anyone. You underestimated us right? Now you realise your mistake. I do reviews for all the hotels I have been travelling too.So measure up, because reviewers comes in many forms. I would have given you guys good review, until your accusation pops up in our email. Your managerial skill is inadequate to run and manage a business. Never accuse your customers, we would have reported anything missing or broken to the reception. No need to accuse us for your greed of money.

Resort by-laws allow smoking on balconies. As there is no space between adjacent balconies, if your neighbour is smoking, all their smoke will come straight into your own balcony and unit. We have three small children including a baby, who would be constantly exposed to second-hand smoke if we were to have our balcony sliding doors open. Unfortunately this means we are all cooped up in our apartment with all the doors to the balcony shut in order to avoid this, as our neighbours chain-smoke. What a shame, given the cost of this place, that we cannot make the most of it.
