Lu Yang Dumpling House
I’m part of the regular Sunday night crowd who go 3 times a month. Thank you so much to the staff who deal with us taking up a third of their restaurant and being generally chaotic. It’s always fun but due to the building materials it echoes like no tomorrow which can cause sensory overload very quickly. If you’re sensitive to noise i recommend having headphones on standby to cope with the noise.

Best food we have ever eaten! Table service was fast and everything was very fresh and tasty. We had the beef with rice noodles, steamed chicken and prawn dumplings, fried won tons and honey chicken. Everything was 5 star! We will be back here very soon.

Best dumplings in Melbourne. Very authentic food and lovely service.We ordered the chilli oil dumplings - very spicy and really tasty. The fried and steamed pork dumplings as well as the fried crispy noodles tasted awesome. Absolutely recommend to try those dishes.

Really great service here. Seemed to be run by a couple only, the woman running the front of house, the man running the back of house.Food came pretty quickly.OrdEred XLB - while the skin is pretty thick and the soup isn’t a lot, I really love how they incorporated the ginger in the filling.The Shanghai fried noodles tasted yummy though slightly oily.The spring onion pancake were crispy and yum!

First time diners, and we will be back again.The food was incredible, couldn’t fault the meal at all. It was very busy and they team that were working were ran off their feet. Although so busy, the servers didn’t make us feel rushed and always apologised if there was a delay.The xiaolongbao, hands down the best ones we have ever eaten.Honey chicken was cooked perfectly, clean oil, super crunchy and very moist.Chilli dumplings 10/10, blew our socks off in a good way.Overall a fantastic meal, with great friendly service. Would highly recommend!Also bonus it’s BYO.

The steam mini pork bun (xiao long bao) is good and delicious. The pan fried chicken and prawn dumpling paled in comparison. The Dan Dan noodle packed a punch in the spice department - noodles quite chewy but I enjoyed it overall

Friendly staff. Service is quick. Ordered Stair fry hot and spicy noodle with pork and came out in less than 5 minutes. Was worried since it came out sooner than expected but to my surprise the food was fresh and just made. Noodle was just delicious with its freshness. Curious to dry dumplings next time.Would definitely recommend if your in rush and want something nice and quick.

While I have been here on only two occasions I must say that this place has the most amazing dumplings I have ever had, the staff was very friendly too and service took a very short time considering the number of people that were currently in the establishment. Make sure to come with an empty stomach!

Been here a couple times now and every time the fried dumplings have been consistently well cooked and delicious. Fried golden brown, dough is cooked perfectly that it’s not too thin or thick but has a nice bite to it and it’s not too oily too. That’s just the dumplings, all the other dishes that we’ve ordered have been full of flavor and have not disappointed yet. Consistently great food, great dumplings, great value. Highly recommend.
