Very meh. Went just to get a drink, arrived at 2pm, seeing as they say on Google that they close at 3pm. When I walked in they seemed confused to see me and asked me to sit outside as they had already packed up. Then I ordered a juice but they said they couldn't make it because they'd put it all away already. The staff seemed annoyed that I was there. After working in service I completely understand wanting the shift to end and packing up so you can leave on time. But if you say you're open until 3pm, you should at least serve drinks at 2:10pm.Got a small takeaway coffee which was nice but nothing special. Sat outside because I wasn't allowed inside. Kids (age 5 and under) from the playground came up and sat on my table, wanting attention from me and asking questions. I just wanted a drink and some peace. The kids have nothing to do with the cafe (their parents should have done something- I'm a stranger???) but just keep in mind that it's on the edge of the playground and if you are forced to sit outside then you may be disturbed by children. At one point I heard the woman who was making coffee tell a customer that his coffee was getting cold and he replied, yes but I'm just waiting for my wrap." He had clearly been waiting for a while and was not happy either.Sounds like this cafe may be nice in the morning from the other reviews but I definitely don't recommend you come here in the afternoon. I was very disappointed."

By far one of the best cafes i have been to in Syd. This great cafe has many good reasons to visit it.1. Food was tasteful and generous portions2. Customer service is A++3. Atmosphere around is nice. You can definitely pick up on the positive vibe between the staff.4. Finally if you have kids, this cafe is great as it is located in front of a playground.I highly recommend this place

I love their Coffee and service. The place was crowded in morning bombarded by a usual customer to get coffee and breakfast. You could tell because customer and staff says greeting by names. It was a busy line up and I ordered warm Mocha. I asked for Warm specifically because need to drink if quickly before start working. And they did great, I get exactly what I ordered eventhough the place was super busy.Take away cup also looks great

4.5 Stars. Everyone who lives at Mascot Square will know That Place. Incredibly handy location, friendly staff and good quality food. The cafe is West/South facing and gets more afternoon sun, so it can get a bit cold in Winter.

This is one of my fav brunch places in Sydney. My friend and I discovered it accidentally when we were hungry and wandering in Mascot. I have come here multiple times and each time the food doesn't disappoint. The food and service is lovely. I'd recommend chilli scrambled eggs with potato rosti and extra sambal on the side. Their eggs benny is delicious. I do wish they would bring back their slow cooked beef that used to be an extra option for the eggs benny. Keep up the good work!

On our first visit, we were quickly greeted by the waiter and given a seat. He was very attentive and made sure everything was good. He asked for drinks first, and I had a hot chocolate while my partner had a cappuccino. We were new to this place, so we spent a long time deciding on what to eat since everything sounded so appetising. I ended up having hot cakes, and my partner had smashed avocado toast with a poached egg. The drinks were given first, and it was great. The hot chocolate I got somehow tasted better than the usual, and they had even given me a marshmallow. When the food arrived, I was ecstatic as it had looked incredibly unique. The hotcakes weren’t as I had expected, but it was pleasant surprise because the blend of flavours, even though it’s all sugar, speaks for itself. The berry compote was generously spread in between the thick hotcakes, and it was a fun challenge to get a proper slice straight through all of them. The citrus added a tangy taste to the berry taste. The ice cream on top drizzled with maple syrup helped to blend the warm sweetness into a smooth, toned down but tasteful bite. It was the most perfect hotcakes I’ve ever had. The avo toast my partner had was just as incredible, as she reminds me that she still dreams about it now and then. It came with edible flowers, and a flavourful cherry tomato salsa, which should be included in every bite. The cherry tomatoes were also marinated in a dressing which tasted wonderful. The onions were diced nice and small so it was not too overpowering, and helped mix with the avocado and cherry tomatoes. The avocado itself was very creamy, with a beautifully cooked poached egg to top it all off.The second visit, we had ordered the exact same meals because of how incredible our first time was. We were unfortunately let down, as both of our meals were lacking, and had not tasted as good as it did previously. As soon as the hotcakes had arrived, I noticed something was different about it. It didn’t look as good as it did the first time, but I also realised that they had left out the citrus this time, and the whole plate had looked a lot more bland because of it. The hotcakes were alright, but had tasted chewier and undercooked. It still tasted good, though it could have been better. The avocado toast was a massive let down, as it failed to meet the expectations we were given on our first visit. The onions were chunkier and made it difficult to enjoy the flavours. The cherry tomato salsa wasn’t even a salsa, it was plain cherry tomatoes with no marinade of any kind, and had tasted bland. The avocado was satisfactory, though the toast had felt colder than it should have been, as did the poached egg. There were also no edible flowers, which made it look less unique as it did before. We left feeling unsatisfied, though we remained hopeful for our next visit. My next visit was with a few friends, and I had hotcakes again, while my friends had burgers. My meal had arrived last and I could tell something was off. This time, it was presented quite poorly, and had random pieces of fruit around the plate. They had brought back the citrus, and even included strawberries and pear slices. The hotcakes were off balanced, and fell easily. I could tell that they had put a lot less berry compote because every bite I took was dry. When i was nearly finished, I noticed a hair strand coming out of it. The waiter came out to check on us and I informed him, and he immediately apologised and went to the kitchen to speak to the chefs. He told me that I need not pay for my meal today because of it, and I was grateful for it. I was appreciative of their service.Ultimately, I wouldn’t say that this is a bad cafe because of the mishaps I’ve experienced, it would just be an inconsistent one. The food here can definitely be delicious, and the service is always great. I will still come here regularly, but it’s unfortunate that we weren’t able to have food as good as the first time we came here.
