Hilltop Pizza and Pasta

Change of management has resulted in drop in quality. Collected take away gourmet seafood only to find a black long hair on top of it. Noticed staff removing from oven and boxing wear no hair covering or masks.Another surprise today they now add a surcharge for electronic payment. What a cheap cash grab!

A number of store revamps, yet the result is still the same.Be careful ordering, as with all takeaway food, as the order can be wrong due to the ordering process. Hand scrawled notes have potential for misinterpretation.Edit: no longer will shop there until the service and quality improves.

The food was yummy, the staff friendly and helpful, and my order was ready in 15 minutes. Hilltop Pizza doesn't do fancy gourmet - they do regular Aussie pizza - but they do that well and at a good price.

Haven't eaten take away for 2mths. Had a pizza here, pretty average taste. Sorry maybe off night

Ordered pizza tonight, was told half an hour. Came to get it and the kid (honestly he looked about 14) had absolutely no idea what was going on, he told me the pizza item we ordered wasn't on the menu" and therefore not ready. The other pizza wasnt there either. So they had nothing for us and no order written down as far as i could see (neither could the kid) absolutely appalling service! There was an older man there who should have been helping these 2 young kids who were trying their best and the boy serving me was very stressed out. I saw another customer get a refund and there was another 4 or 5 waiting a long time and getting frustrated and I saw someone else walk out too. I ended up telling him not to worry about it and left. I will NOT ever be returning! I would rather drive 15 minutes to get good pizza than have something like this happen again. My 4 year old was very upset as he was really looking forward to pizza. Luckily there's a fish and chip shop next door!I do not recommend hilltop pizza monbulk!!!!"

With a number of friends on a Saturday evening we ordered pizza and pasta from here. Two of our pizzas were completely forgotten about, we ended up with an additional pizza we didn't order, and the food was lukewarm to the point where the microwave was resorted to. We asked for additional pineapple on a Hawaiian and it was what you would expect from a Hawaiian without extra topping. One pasta dish had the pasta so over-boiled that it had no flavour and was very runny, the other pasta dish (carbonara) was stone cold and had congealed sauce.

Was told Big Al'sMonbulk had changed ownership recently. I was lead to believe since the new owners had come in there was a difference in quality and service. The nightmare began with our telephone order having to be repeated 4 times to the recipient at Big Al's. Being told it would be 15 minutes, I arrived minutes earlier. On arrival the staff whom I'm not even sure were the staff weren't labeled with the company logo, badge to provide their name and role. The two people behind the counter paid no attention to me on entering, after approaching the desk looking for a bell to gain there attention I realised even if there was they had the music up too loud along with deep in conversation with each other. I looked in the fridge for a drink but again wasn't able to find pricing in front of the drinks or on the large wall menu. Thankfully the fridge door closed making a loud enough noise to remind the staff I was ready to finalise my purchases. The two staff members again looked at me then kept making the pizzas they had infrknt of them before one finally realised I probably wasn't there for the coffee. Once confirming my order I was assured it wouldn't be too long and was assuming it had taken longer to cook. The staff member passwd me the pizza I had orders in a luke warm box and went back to completing whatever he was attempting to make when I had arrived. Opening the pizza that was now stone cold and was microwaved vigorously to prevent any possibility of food poising we noticed the extra toppings we had orderd had been forgotten. I hope the new owners see this get off there there hopeless arses and shut Big AL's Monbulk down permanently. I'll go back at some point to see if they've read this and maybe done something. If I go back and my pizzas are made by the new owners to this quality I hope there mothers slap them. I just offered a small amount of the meat off the topping to my dog and not even he ate.

You will find Hilltop Pizza at the top end of Main Street which is fitting, as the pizzas top all other local places. The thin crust bases are just right, the toppings are always generous, the Nutella Pizza is incredible! The pricing is decent & they are quick to get your order up.
