Everything you're looking for and everything you didn't know you wanted comes through eventually. The staff are all great, make you feel very welcome, and buying & selling through them is a breeze.Highly recommended everyone who can check this place out

Flawless experience over several years now as both buyer and seller. The weekly antiques auction is a particular favourite, and has been instrumental in building a particular collection we’ve been working on as a family.I’ve found the vendor (selling) process to be very straightforward and The Auction Barn is very professional with documenting items and issuing receipts etc. Unlike one or two other reviewers, I’ve never had an issue with undocumented or missing pieces, and cannot imagine their processes allow this to occur very often in practice (if at all), noting vendor drop-offs are by appointment and items are recorded and receipts issued in prompt succession.It helps if one is realistic about item values and resulting sales expectations, however The Auction Barn is well resourced to advise on estimated values. Sometimes to my surprise they have even suggested a reserve (or listed items with a reserve) which is reassuring as you know there’s a real commitment to securing a fair result. And sometimes the convenience factor of an assured sale is compensation enough for items that would otherwise be lingering unused and unappreciated.Delivery in Canberra is effortless to organise and on only one occasion where an item was accidentally damaged during transit, I received an immediate refund. The gentlemen assisting with deliveries are friendly and capable.Overall our experience has been that the customer service is professional and attentive, and I’ve found Simone, Zane and Stan all very helpful and good humoured. Patient too, when negotiating offers! I cannot fault the communicative aspects of my interactions with any member of the team.If you are renovating a heritage home or rebuilding in an historical style, I highly recommend considering The Auction Barn when sourcing architectural and interior fittings, as well as furniture and decorative pieces. Everything you have in mind to acquire eventually comes around (it’s really miraculous) and there are significant bargains to be had.It always amuses me when I visit vintage and antique retailers elsewhere in Fyshwick (and even the Southern Highlands) and find that items which had recently been sold at auction for a most reasonable price have been marked up, sometimes by thousands of dollars, for retail sale. One cannot necessarily begrudge the retailers this, but I’d instead suggest signing up as a buyer directly and saving yourself the difference.

What a great find. I popped into The Auction Barn to be greeted by the lovely Simmone who was so helpful with signing up and explaining the process to me and then I was also helped by the 2 lovely gentleman with enquiries I had with regards to online bids. It's great that you can bid online. Stan showed me how to use the website which was super helpful.

Very disappointed with The Auction Barn. Just glad the 3 items I sent as a trial run weren't part of my prized collection. I was told one of my items would be in the next military antiques auction but wasnt in it.?? Have sent several emails to Stan over the past two weeks with No reply. Extremely frustraiting and totally unacceptable when you get no reply. I am just trying to find out now. What has happened to my item. Due to the lack of response Im starting to suspect they've lost it?

Fantastic Team!!! Staff went out of their way to securely pack and send a large Auction Bundle to me. Some oversized items which I should have taken more notice of sizing. The Team were very helpful in problem solving and went over and beyond in ensuring items were delivered to me in another State. Many thanks Team, everything arrived safely.

One of the worst experiences ever.My items now have stickers on the box's! Clearly they don't understand condition on boxes is important to the collector buyer. Items had string tags attached which has caused damage. They state they research items for sale! Yet then state no we don't we use the last Auction as a guide. I even have damaged items and items that no care was taken putting them back into there boxes. AVOID at all costs. There haven't a clue on the items or there value. They promise everything and deliver nothing
