Home of Bicheno Penguin Tours Tasmania | Penguins from September to February have a busy little life with breeding season kicking off in September, it isn't long until we see baby penguins. Dad penguins are busy building burrows up to their family's expectations and it isn't long until moulting starts.

Absolutely wonderful. The work the tour guides do is a credit. They provide safe burrows and breeding boxes for the Little zpenguins and are so caring and careful with the birds. Recommend it highly. Well worth the dollars.

It would've been the perfect tour if it ran for 30 mins more. The groups were small and the guide was very informative.But unfortunately, the penguins came to shore a little later than usual, and because they have several groups a night, they had to rush our group along before the penguins reached us. They were so close to coming near, but they just couldn't let us see them and had to rush us off. My 7 year old was quite disappointed.

We booked this ahead of our trip to the area (recommended) and it did not disappoint! There were lots of people in various groups doing the tour but our group of maybe 12-14 was a perfect size. We saw plenty of penguins in various states of moving from the ocean into their hides. There were plenty of stations to see them and they came quite close. One walked just inches from my partners shoes which is normal! You can take plenty of non flash video/photos. The guides are knowledgeable, spot and highlight the penguins and it’s the perfect length. I highly recommend the tour!

Unique Tassie experience! Very lowkey yet educational. An incredible opportunity to watch these birds in their natural habitat coming out of the water, across the beach, and into their burrows for the night. Thoroughly enjoyed as a solo traveler on a long weekend holiday.

Awesome experience! Very informative and knowledgeable tour guide, lots of opportunities to see the penguins and plenty of time to quietly watch them do their thing. We went in the off season but still saw plenty of little penguins! Would recommended this activity to everyone!

A delightful evening tour to see the Little Blue Penguins returning to the rookery after their day out at sea. The tour was well organized and it was a special experience to be able to get so close to the Penguins. Highly recommended tour if you are traveling to the east coast of Tassie.

we saw several penguins even though it was off season. the folks conducting the tour were laid back, friendly, and knowledgeable. s/o to Kathleen for keeping the people on track and being enthusiastic about the little penguins.would he better to go during prime season, but i was thankful i saw some.
