Great place to catch up with friends and family. Ice cream is a must have here, coffee is also nice. The baked basket waffle with ice cream was yum...

Staff were polite and friendly. I haven't had all the food, but I can certainly say the chocolate brownie sunday was fantastic. Will be going back for sure to try other things on the menu.

Since 8 napkins opened next door I can see a lot of people coming in here to get there after dinner sweet tooth fix. The ice cream are all unique flavours , nice and creamy so I can kinda understand the 5 dollar single scoop in a cup and kinda can't. I find it a tad expensive personally buy since it isn't a everyday occurance its not to much of a problem, place generally has a booth free. Perfect for breakfast waffle with ice cream too. Have a takeaway service which is ok, its hard to do the whole ice cream with hot waffle takeaway because it doesn't seem to last the drive home.

My kids llove coming to Gelare as they have good range of waffles, pancakes, croffles., sundaes, smoothies and shakes. There are very few options for Regular Breakfast and coffee.Good Sitting space but every time I visit this place it’s not so clean, and the sweet sticky smell bothers me a bit. Service is alright,I have been here few times only because it’s convenient and close to my house.

Friendly(ish) staff but once again and last time I will be disappointed by this place. 19 odd dollars on a waffle and ice cream only to get home and discover no ice cream and a tiny little scoop of nutella for a large waffle and 3 tiny strawberries cut up in the corner of the box.Very poor as when they opened they were great but have gone rapidly down hill the last year or so.

I can't give a full experiential review, because I got takeaway, and I understand it's not the same as sitting down, and experiencing the restaurant for how it's intended.What I will say though is this place is a ghost town on a Friday night. I walked in to order waffles, and thickshakes, and as I sat down and waited, it was very clear that this place is either in a bad location, or people just don't care about ice-cream at 6pm. I was the only person in the restaurant, and it was pretty evident that nobody had been in for a long time either, if anyone at all had eaten there that night. Yet, somehow the girl behind the counter seemed to be always busy.My order seemed to take a very long time to make, as I sat there wondering if the place is struggling financially. I mean, I was the only person, and I'd say my order wasn't enough to cover the costs of being open that night. Yet, I waited, and waited. Finally the food came. I got it home, and it was pretty enjoyable. Waffles were fluffy, sauces were good, ice-cream was good, thickshakes were good.I worry about the fate of this restaurant.
