Truly aweful . Will not sell a phone outright. Will not sell you a phone unless you buy a plan. They need to be reported to the ACCC.Manager should immediately be dismissed.

Been a customer of Optus for many years. Value has been good until about 12 months ago. There has been a gradual decline in network quality and more black spots appearing. Phones saying they have good signal yet not data and poor call quality. Now half of the new hospital in Goulburn has no coverage. So staff and patients have no use of their phones etc If I wasn’t plan locked at the moment I would love for Telstra.

I drove to Goulburn with my friend yesterday who was working in the area. She dropped me at shopping centre, while wandering around the shopping centre I checked my phone to see if I had call from her to be picked up, I panicked I only had 14 percent charge, I noticed the optus shop and went in to ask if they could charge my phone so I could receive call from her. Alison took my phone and put on charge, it took about 30 minutes to get about 45 percent, what great service from Alison.While waiting I saw how she served other customers, very knowledgeable and very nice to all customers. It has taken 6 visits and half a dozen calls to get them to change my billing from monthly to fortnightly.After a few visits they finally put a case manager onto it. He called me and said that ANZ are responsible for changing the payment arrangements and there was absolutely nothing he or Optus Goulburn could do.So I went to the bank and told them what the issue is. They banker took me straight to the manager of ANZ Goulburn who told me what they are asking is impossibe and that they are charging you for their mistake.I was furious and overwhelmed which seriously affects my epilepsy and gives me seizures, both the bank and optus are aware of this.Seeing my level of distress the bank manager called Optus Goulburn directly to explain the mistake.The bank explained then explained to me that I had done nothing wrong and that Optus have made it impossible for you to change your payment which is completely unprofessional. I went to Optus Goulburn and waited an hour for them to fix their mistake.By the time I left I was nauseated, but I knew if I didn't stay the entire time that it would not get done- because that's what happened the first five visits.The lady tried her best to help fix the issue but there seems to be a disconnect concerning information given by the call service centre and the store workers.Thank goodness I got in contact with my bank and their manager.I have contacted an ombudsman to accompany me via video call when I sign the papers for a new payment plan on Friday.This is an unreasonable amount of trouble to have to go to in order to change a simple billing cycle.

Went in on a Sunday, the 2 guys were FAR more interested in the recorded soccer game on the in store TV then selling me the service I wanted. I was processed quickly, but then had to spend 3hrs with online support to actually get the product I asked for. I guess listening to customers, knowing the products and actually helping are actually secondary to personal time on the payroll.

Best service ever from a Telstra shop. This team seems to actually know what they're talking about. Don't use the phone help system, where you'll get an idiot Indian who can't help. Talk to the team in store!

Asked about a better deal on my prepaid, didn't ask me what I want to use my phone for or anything just pointed to one that was slightly different to my current one, still would cost me the same though. Also asked about a better modem deal than the current one I have, he said it's the only option available. Didn't actually seem interested in helping whatsoever.

I changed from my virgin plan to opus prepaid. In the pro, according to Central there was an issue with the transfer. Bree, the girl who served me was awesome. Within 5mins she had rung, and argued with head office on my behalf and got my account transferred in the next 5 (usually 20mins - 4hrs).It was great to see a telecommunications worker care about getting their customer online ASAP, she even took the time to give my 3yr old a colouring book and pencils.Thanks Bree for making what could have taken me hours only take 10mind.

I cannot understate how professional and know the importance of customer service the people at Goulburn Optus are. I will never use another Mobile company while these people are there.1 hour of calls to the service centre and nothing, 11 minutes on the phone to the store and felt I was listened to, and my need was important.With a call back arrangement by the store staff, after they do research and solve the problem. I am impressed by the level of care. And point out while they are I store for click and collect, and answering calls, the other major brand in town, isn't even available for that. Shows who cares for the community!
