Really interesting and informative.John had lots of interesting and informative stories and first hand experience with the history of the station, and town-site.Plenty of historical equipment and bits and pieces to look at. The train also gives a great insight into the early days of rail travel in the south west.

A must-see if you're in Northam! Wide variety of local historic curiosities both railway and non railway related. The tour guides are helpful and informative, and give insight into the rich local history of the Northam area.

서부 영화에 등장하는 증기 기관차. 서부 영화가 아니라도 증기 기관차는 아련한 추억과 함께 많은걸 회상하게 한다.도심지에서 벗어나 소도시를 여행하다가 보면 가끔 뜻밖에 재미난 곳을 발견하게 되는데 이곳도 바로 그런곳이다. 여행 책자를 아주 자세히 보지 않으면 찾기조차 힘든 아주 작은 열차 박물관. 오래된 역사를 이용해서 꾸민 곳인데 밖에서 보면 그냥 지나치기 쉽다. 그러나 막상 들어가 보면 상황이 달라진다. 직원의 안내에 따라 역사와 건물 내부의 이곳 저곳을 살펴보면 옛날 이지역의 모습과 이야기가 담긴 사진을 비롯한 소품들. 정말 너무나 귀중한 자료가 정말 열악하게 전시되어 있었다. 특히 오래된 통신장비나 부속 기계들은 책에서나 볼수 있었던 진귀한 것들도 많았다. 직원 말에 따르면 이곳을 관리 운영하는 것은 개인이 이곳의 자료를 그냥 버리기엔 너무나 소중해서 소규모 박물관을 만들었다고 한다. 그러나 운영비가 부족해 겨우 유지한다고 했다. 조그만 도시에 작은 박물관이지만 철도 박물관으로 조금의 손색이 없을만큼 훌륭한 곳이었다. 개인적으론 이곳이 좀더 투자가 되어서 많은 사람들에게 보여줘야 한다고 생각함.정말 아름다운 박물관.추천함
