Hair in the Square

I had a great experience at this hair salon. Staff were all very professional and showed wonderful personal customer service. I had colouring done with foils and layer cut, both were professionally done and looked amazing. Tony has so much experience and his staff were all fantastic. They took in walk ins as well as booked customers and worked through very efficiently the whole time I was in the salon. I highly recommend

Went to a number of different barbers and could not get anyone to do my cut without a booking. Hair In The Square told me in 20 minutes and they could do my cut for me. My hairdresser EVANA was very professional. 22 years as a hairdresser and it definitely shows. She was thorough and well mannered, cautious to always ask my preferences before cutting. Left feeling completely satisfied with her work. The staff seem very efficient at what they do from what I can tell although they were consistently busy throughout (spent maybe 40 minutes in there; Saturday is their busiest period of course) - so definitely recommend making a booking in advance.Thanks again Evana for your efforts and commitment! My 4 year old saw Rachel today who cut her hair. My daughter is usually quite nervous about haircuts but Rachel was so kind, gentle and playful. My daughter smiled and laughed a lot during her cut. She was also very careful, and put a lot of effort into ensuring we were happy with haircut. Thanks Rachel!

Totally understand why Hair In The Square has such a low consumer rating. I went there today for the first time, asked the woman at the counter how much to have my roots coloured, she said $35. I think, great price, let’s do it. Here I am thinking that includes blow-dry. When it’s time to wash colour out, a different woman washes hair and asked if I’d like my hair blow-dried, says it’ll be $45 if so. I didn’t think $10 was much of an increase from $35, so I say sure. At check-outs, she asks for $80, and I was totally blown away by this price. Spoke to the owner who reduced the amount to $70. HAIR COLOSSEUM charge $55 for a full hair colour, wash, cut and blow. Go there instead. I will never return to Hair In The Square. RIP-OFF!

I've had haircuts here before and they were fine, however this time the boss had cut my hair and I asked for my haircut to be u shaped. I got my hair washed then cut which was very quick, not checking whether my hair was even and asked if I wanted it straight or wavy and I said wavy which he curled so I couldn't not see the end result of the haircut, because I didn't like the way the curls looked I washed it off and when I bushed it out as shown in the image here. It is very uneven, one side is layered and the there side is cut straight login very choppy like a kid had cut my hair, one side is also much loner than the other side. The next day I went back to complain to try and get a refund which he refused and kicked us out trying to justify it by telling us that the back was perfect however did not mention anything at the front as I'm sure he could tell it was choppy. It is the worse haircut I have ever gotten.

I visited them on Sunday for colouring/ high light. The lady in red hair ( I assume was the manager) came to the lady who was highlighting my hair and asked her to do a hair cut! She said she hasn’t finished with me and the manager said people need to wait!When she finished with me left I was so worried if she forget about me and damage my hair. And that was happened! When I went to that lady with red hair she said I need to wait and the colour is not ready yet. It was without checking my hair. So unhappy! Wasted my money and time and I ended up with supper dry and damaged hair. Never will go back

Only one trained staff member knows what to do, everyone else is still a trainee. i spent 5 hours there with a booked appointment and basic hair job to be done. No one value your time and was been left for hours unattended, even the staff i booked the appointment with was over the place and didn't give me the time I need.. A trainee staff did the job, ended very terrible. i spent $200 for false/faulty Keratin treatment and my hair is still the same if not worse. Rip off. I will never visit them again. if you want to waste your time and money, go there.

Absolutely butchered my hair and still charged me for it. Asked for curtain bangs cut up to my nose and not my chin like any normal Hairdresser would do. Asked for a trim and layers and came out with half my hair. FYI this is what curtain bangs (picture attached) should look like and yes someone needs to tell you how to do your job. The the redhead that works there thinks it's ok to get angry at me when she was the one getting it all wrong. I assumed simple trim and layers was common knowledge among ANY Hairdresser..guess I was wrong.
