Harvest the Fleurieu

Great place to go to if you like strawberries,. You can pick your own, buy punnets of first grade strawberries or trays of cheaper 2nd grade. They also have a selection of local produce (Olive oil,fresh fruit and vegetables etc). You can also get light meals and tea and coffee. I would recommend the meat pies as they are some of the best I have had.

Staff are friendly. Cafe stocks some great gourmet SA local produce. We stop here at least once a year, to “Pick your own strawberries”, it’s definitely worth the experience, taste the freshness, however on this occasion they were not quite ready to be harvested. So coffee and cake instead, and left a bag of goodies and some great hand cream.

Pick your own strawberries. Suitable for kids. Even though it seemed busy, there was plenty of space for everyone and heaps of fruit. We were able to find lots of big strawberries.They also have a big sandpit full of trucks, tractors and diggers.

I went on a solo adventure to pick strawberries, had a decent time picked and snacked on strawberries, the store has interesting items for sale jams cakes gluten free cakes drinks etc.

Amazing experience plucking strawberries ($5 entry + $10 punnet). Came around 230pm in early May and there were definitely enough ripe sweet strawberries for us to pluck :)Enjoyed the strawberry tart ($6.5), pie ($4.5 after 330PM) and bought a fig jam from their variety of local produce. The staff are very nice. There's a toilet as well. Highly recommend

Bought pies, pasties and kranskies from the cafe, not a huge selection, I really enjoyed the steak and mushroom, the pasties were lacking flavour as per x2 who ate and the kransky I didn't mind but also missing a little something flavour wise. Outdoor play area is really nice for the kids, being a wet day we didn't utilize it. Kids enjoyed picking the strawberries, I would prefer a closable punnet as the kids want to hold it and one dropped all the strawberries on the ground. And also better for putting safely in the car, I wrapped mine in a mesh veggie bag I had. Taste wise better than the supermarkets and what we haven't eaten yet are still looking fresh after 1 week in the fridge. I do like the ease of set price punnet, saves hassles with weighing. Because of the wet weather we basically had the patch to ourselves. Just make sure to bring gumboots for the kids and a change of clothes, could have gone a pants change myself after hopping over the covered rows as they were all wet. Good day out for the kiddos. Would like to come back in summer for berries.

The great strawberry garden in the south is very suitable for picking with children. Children like sweet strawberries very much.

The whole Sherry family have provided an amazing experience for picking strawberries and tasting fresh local produce in their Market Hall & Cafe. It was awesome to see Harvest the Fleurieu supporting small local business around the entire Fleurieu peninsula and beyond!I highly recommend going and enjoying the experience whether you are with friends, loved ones or especially the whole family ☺️
