Dead Horse Gully campground
Dead Horse Gully campground is just outside Tibooburra, NSW and is a reasonable spot to pull up for the night if you're planning to head out to Cameron Corner the next morning. There's not much in the way of shade trees but there are pit toilets, tables and bbq areas. Fees are payable via the self-registration station on the way in.

Great campground in Sturt National Park just outside Tibooburra. Free gas barbeques and hotplates, clean non smelly drop toilets and great Telstra mobile reception. If you get in early enough do the Granite Boulder hike that leaves from the campground to learn more about this unique environment. No wood fires permitted due to the scarcity and importance of wood and trees in the desert environment. No running water, always make sure to bring a good supply when travelling in the outback.

Dead Horse Gully campground
Nice campground. Close to town. Has dry toilets, water and gas cooking. One negative for me on all NPWS campsites now is that you MUST book online. This is very difficult for people visiting different parks on a road trip where destinations and duration of stay may change for any number of reasons. There's no allowance for unplanned arrivals whatsoever. Most remote areas don't have mobile reception either. (This site and Tibooburra township has Telstra reception only - 2021!)

Stars from horizon to horizon, wouldn't stay anywhere else. The Gold prospecting mine next door to the campsite is a wealth (excuese the pun) of educational material for the Children. The rock formations in the park outside town are stunning in the early morning sun. The camp facilities are very clean, and there are plenty of spaces for vehicles that are surprisingly private (made easier by the rocks).
