The Skin Thing | Situated on the amazing Sunshine Coast in Queensland, we are a family business that have been operating for 50 years. We sell Australian made Ugg Boots, Brazilian cowhides, and Australian sheepskins in a variety of sizes. Not to forget our Akubra Hats, Belts and many products made from our cowhides.

Loads of sheep skin, cattle skin products. Ugg boots, hats, rugs plus. Excellent range and helpful staff. Easy access via back street.

I had to return an item back to Skin Thing due to a manufacturing defect. The unfortunate reality is that a lot of businesses don't stand behind their products or customers and I expected some push back. I was mightily surprised that it was not only a non-hassle, but an enjoyable experience to meet Anthony the Son of the former owner and have a good chat. It's great to see an iconic local business that deals in quality goods stay in the family and continue providing rare Aussie made goods on the Sunny Coast. It's also good to know that if by mischance something is not up to standard these guys don't hesitate to rectify it. Will not hesitate to go back or recommend.

Loved the skin display, and very peaceful vibe in the store. Great opportunity evolved while thinking and looking at products. If you crafty, they have a few offcuts of the skins.

Go grab yourself a pair of boots, a one of a kind cattle rug, sheep skin foot rug, a soft as rabbit fur and a bag of off cuts. Your home will look naturally beautiful. I love this shop. Your next birthday present should come from here.
