Shiraaz Indian Restaurant
Really enjoyed our meal here tonight at Shiraaz. Caught up with other Melbournians who we regularly dine out on Indian and almost always order the butter chicken. Tonight was no different but we added a tikka for good measure and paneer dish that we all loved. The garlic naan was exceptional to which we tended to eat more of than rice. Attentive friendly staff and we left with very full bellies. A short wine list but some good locals available.

Shiraaz Indian Restaurant
I have visited this restaurant yesterday evening for Dinner with my family but the food was really bad as we ordered entree first which was full tandoori chicken. When it came, super dry. Chicken was undercooked as it’s taste was completely weird.We preferred to have our dinner from different restaurant after getting unfriendly service from Shiraaz restaurant.Would never recommend this restaurant.

Shiraaz Indian Restaurant
I visited Shiraaz in early 2022 and was very impressed.My wife and I (and two kids) decided to visit again roughly a year later, only to be very disappointed.Firstly our main meals were served before our appetizers. Secondly, both of our curries were of average quality at best.My wife had a Korma where the curry sauce tasted like pumpkin soup from a can, it may have actually been exactly that. I had a Balti curry that was not very rich and had what appeared to be peas, corn and corn from the freezer section at the supermarket.We were both very disappointed and will have to think seriously about going back there.Hopefully this was just an off night without their regular chef as this restaurant was spectacular the first time we went there.Hopefully it can return to its former quality.

Shiraaz Indian Restaurant
We visited Shiraaz on a recent trip to Geelong convinced it was affiliated with the delicious Melbourne restaurant of the same name. We were apparently wrong about the connection but the meal was enjoyable enough. I did find the tandoori chicken and chaat quite spicy for my palette and needed to request some yoghurt which wasn’t the easiest thing to do given the lack of attentiveness from the staff. Fortunately I managed to procure some before catching fire and I found the butter chicken far more manageable heat wise

Shiraaz Indian Restaurant
Beautiful meal. We asked for extra spicy and we got it, just right not too spicy.. We had a vindaloo and madras with mushroom and onion rice and naan. All delicious.Restaurant is clean and comfortable. Only reason I marked 4 for atmosphere cos it was a Tuesday night.Thanks for the lovely food!

Shiraaz Indian Restaurant
The restaurant itself was very nice. Decor and art was very nice. Firstly the prices were quite higher than other restaurants. For eg. kids butter chicken with rice and nann bread was $30. The nann and rice were nice, but the butter chicken did not taste how we think butter chicken should taste. It was a very neon orange and tasted very smokey. If you like smokey stuff you might like it. The chicken was also breast meat, which we believe it should have been thigh meat. The staff were a bit goofy with prioritising. After taking our order, they decided to ponder around and prepare other stuff before getting our 2 drinks which would have taken 2 min.
