The Cascades
Super cool spot. The natural formations of the rock are incredible. The water is beautifully cold even on the hottest summer days. Can get a little stagnant if it hasn't rained for a while but is perfect right now (April 21). It is really fun to explore, each hole is different and a mini world of smooth rock, tiny pebbles and mystery. Love this joint, well worth a visit. The road to get to it is very much off the beaten track.

The Cascades
Lots of rocks to climb around when water is low. Not heaps of shade within the rocks but shade around the perimeter. Picnic tables available. Safe for dogs on lead. Take insect repellent though!

The Cascades
Lovely out of the way spot, calm and peaceful, dirt road up to a small carpark, easy walk to cascades. Not suitable for people with wheelchairs or walkers Not busy when we were there although it might be in summer

The Cascades
A must-do in the hot weather. Cool off in the natural pools as the river water flows over the rocks. The rocks are blistering hot in the sun and the approach path and steps are in disrepair and not universally accessible, so bring decent footwear and towels to sit on. Would be five stars if Council fixed the path.

The Cascades
Great little place amongst the boulders. Didn't see any snakes, but did see a turtle in one of the rock pools! There was some glass shards on the rocks so watch out when barefoot. Sad that people leave smashed glass on the rocks.

The Cascades
A great little place to have a dip. Lovely cool water and not overly busy. There are some picnic tables but no amenities so make sure you visit a toilet before going.

The Cascades
Picked a prime time to visit after the rain. The water was flowing and everything was green. Overall the water fall isn't huge perhaps a little underwhelming but the unique rock formation surrounding grassy area and picnic benches overlooking the water make for perfect day trip nature fix.Could do with some public toilets but there is a park 2 mins up the road across from the holden museum with a playground and toilets.

Stopped in here for a dip on a hot day. Lovely scenic spot to cool off, and sufficiently low key to not be too busy.

The Cascades
Great water and good to take a dip on a hot day. Be mindful that the rocks are slippery in places. Plenty of parking available.

The Cascades
The Cascades is a beautiful spot on your way out of Melbourne for a longer journey. It isn’t worth to just drive to see the Cascades, better combine it with another tourist attraction. The last kilometer is on an unsealed road, easy to take, just go a bit slowly. It was great fun jumping from one rock to another. It will work both for adults as well as for kids, just make sure they don’t end up in the water.
