Been wanting to try and was not disappointed. We immensely enjoyed both the savoury and sweet pastries. The biscoff swirl had a very generous amount of cream which was rich and not sickly sweet. The mortadella goes really well with the flaky danish. Definitely going again for its other menu items!!

Tried their special ube cube and it’s average. The texture’s pretty hard and my wooden fork’s broken trying to cut it. It’s not the best croissant I had but the yam flavor’s unique and tasted good enough. Not sure if I’d wanna try their other pastries though.

Quiet enough at 11:30 that there was no line, but the three tables inside were all occupied. There are outdoor tables and chairs in the vicinity but they are shared with other restaurants. The selection of pastries, sweet and savoury, is pretty awesome. Unique, wonderfully composed and delicate. It’s priced to suit, but its also comparable to similar artisan style bakeries. The flavour in the long black (once it cooled) was amazing considering the piping hot temperature it was served at. The sandwich was huge, I got through the whole thing but pretty sure that could feed two. It wasn’t short on the fillings either, avo, tomato and lettuce all not hard to find. The danish also throughly enjoyed. Hope to return for more pastries. Would recommend, good value for money.

The almond croissants are great, brownies are okay, and the coffee is not bad. It’s a nice place to sit especially with the way it opens out to the fountains. We initially thought it was closed when approaching from Essex street (see pic) but it’s not.

Amazing pastries! I highly recommend the kouign cube, which was airy, light, and not too sweet. The smoked mushrooms patatas danish was also quite good, though if you're not a fan of paprika you might not enjoy it as much.

Banksia Bakehouse is a great spot for pastries and coffee in the cbd. The cube and round croissants are very popular, and the pastries in general are buttery and flaky. I also like the focaccia; light and airy crumb served with toppings or as sandwiches.Friendly service and nice ambience. The only downside is that some items run out pretty quickly so if there's something you have your heart set on, best arrive early.

Stumbled upon this bakery, which is slightly tucked behind/in the building. After a disappointing experience across the road(Lode pies), I'm happy to say this place lives up to the Sydney croissant hype.Had the moon croissant, with a tasty citrus flavour filling.
