Beacon Lighting Gladesville

Worst customer service experience I’ve had in quite a while. My wife went there to buy two simple lights. When the electrician unpacked them the lights were the same but the mounting bases were different. Okay no problem we thought. The electrician called and requested a call back and received no call whatsoever. My wife then travelled back to the store to change the lights. We had to pay the electrician twice to come out. The electrician then put them all together and finds that the two globes purchased separately had both different elements in them. This is getting a bit silly now. So on my only day off (Sunday) In the middle of renovations, my wife and I both travel to the store. I request to speak to the manager. Apparently he’s the one that didn’t call back. I asked him how all this could possibly happen. He said I’m not sure. He then went on to say that he’s more than happy to swap the globe for no charge. So to sum it all up, if you’re going to shop there, don’t!

Really helpful team. Have dealt with Nick and Wendy on multiple occasions and appreciate their assistance each time.

Went in on two occasions to purchase table lamps and down lights. Served by Ashley who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Will continue coming back for her great service.

Nice selection of lamps and luckily I found a perfect one for my office. However, the customer service is terrible. Staff is passive aggressive and extremely unhelpful. Looking down at their customers and didn’t move from where they were standing to try an help finding what I need.

Went to BL with my elderly aunt who wanted a reading lamp on a stand to replace her old one. Gemma looked after us and was very patient and helpful explaining and showing us the different options and making sure the one she chose would do exactly as she wanted. Unfortunately it was not in stock, but Gemma ordered it for her, free delivery to my aunt's home, and also gave a discounted price for it (I mentioned we should maybe wait for a sale as the one she chose was more expensive than others) Very happy with the service from Gemma.

Exceptionally poor service. Took a lightbulb back that didn't work. Despite it being within the warranty period was given no direct replacement and was told I must accept a cheaper alternative with no refund for the difference in price.

I have been a regular/loyal customer of Beacon lighting. A light fitting we had installed, after approx 18 months noticed eroding/rusting. I contacted the store & was sold a cream and assured it would remove the rust. Over a period of weeks the cream didn't make a scrap of difference. The manager (Nick) said he would help me as much as possible. He directed me to Beacon Warranty who only directed me back to Nick. (So going around in circles). Nick sent an email saying sorry can't help" apart from selling me another light fitting. Correct me if I'm wrong but customers expect more than 18 months/2 years from a light fitting but apparently management don't. It's a shame really because my husband & I have purchased many products from this store so for them not to assist in this matter is really disappointing. We will go eslewhere in future."
