Steve was recommended to me for the annual inspection of my mooring at Point Halloran. He responded very quickly and provided a report that I have sent to Maritime Safety Queensland. He was easy to work with and provided a very professional service. I have no hesitation in recommending Steve.

I arrived on Macaleay Island a little over two years ago with my boat Tora. I needed to establish a mooring here, and Steve helped me a great deal with advise on the type of gear I should be using for my boat. Steve also inspects my mooring, and prepares a report for my yearly lease renewal.Recently we had a storm, and several boats broke their mooring, including my boat. In my boat's case the main rope was being chafed under the water line, by the barnacles growing on my boat's hulls (catamaran). This was happening each time the tide changed and as the rope loosened and tightened again it would rub on the hulls at a similar location.Steve was on the job promptly, locating the block, and removing the remaining tackle so that I can remake it with modifications to avoid the chafing. Steve also attached a marker buoy on my mooring block.SMBI has been very helpful throughout, and I am very satisfied with their service.

Steve inspected the mooring for our boat. He turned up soon after we contacted him and did the job with no problems. A number of boats in our area have broken free from their moorings recently so it is very comforting to know that our gear is sound. Thanks Steve....see you next year
