My experience as a tenant of a property managed by JJ Real Estate was less than satisfactory. Over the course of the tenancy the property manager was slow to respond to maintenance issues, and some of my emails were ignored.In one instance a window securing the property broke due to rotting timber frames, and I was told this would need to be repaired at my own cost. Only after the glazier (that I was forced to arrange and pay out of pocket) put in writing the urgency of the repairs did JJ Real Estate accept their responsibility. Reimbursement was also a lengthy process.I found many of their communications to be unprofessional, from unnecessarily curt emails and text messages through to spelling errors on their website.I hope that this feedback can be reflected upon to take into consideration the perspective of tenants.

If you're going to rent through JJ Real Estate make sure you are fully aware of your rights and the legislation.Jessie can be very lovely until presented with something that might challange the relationship she has with her owners and her client base (ie. A cost that she may need to ask her owner to cover). She'd much rather intimidate you into submission by suggesting you are liable for things but its never as black and white as she likes to portray (so get advice).We had to break lease due to a safety concern. It took her 10 open inspections over several weeks to find a tennant + charged us fees (which she neither negotiated with us nor responded to when asked for details about the costings - in advance or after the fact).She charged us $70 to replace a lock that was present when we returned the keys (we had photo evidence to prove this) - claiming that we were still liable after the fact. She also tried to say that we needed to return a powerpoint back to compliant that we never touched (which we have photos of also - thank goodness).On occasion Jessie had tradies attend our property with no notice, claiming that she wasnt aware they would be attending (not really good enough).After the safety issue was reported - yes she arranged quotes to get fly screens added (at our request) but it was only after we advised of breaking lease that she actually raised the work order.Not to mention when we first moved in - there was an issue with the hot water system leading into the weekend and she tried to say we were responsible for the call out fee. I wasnt born yesterday and my dad owns several investment properties - i knew this was a critical service and she was wrong but those sorts of things never stopped happening. I feel for people that are more timid, reserved or first time renters that end up renting through her because she's very good at patronising and pulling her authority around. She loves to get her own way and by the looks of it im not the first to have felt this.The only reason im not taking things further is because i wanted to be done with the negative energy.I know she will reply to this (as she has to have the final word) but im not afraid to publical share evidence and comms in support of this review.My only advice is be well researched.

What a joke, don’t ever tell the owner she’s incorrect, she’ll start shouting and freak out. On numerous occasions she would shout at myself and my step mother through the phone but always act sweetly to my father. That was until the day she thought it was me rather than him on the phone and did the same. Terrible communication towards the renter.

Jessie has managed my rental property for a few years now. She demonstrates care for both the landlord and tenant and acts promptly on any repairs necessary. After managing the property myself for a few years prior to this, it has been such a relief to have Jessie take care of everything for me.

Looking to rent emailed for a form but never got a reply ! Then i found the property was not occupied for 2 months I would not bother with this company.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Jessi when we inspected a property, put an application and she offered it to us, and then she regretted it and withdrew our application permanently, Just because of few days difference on the time, and she even did not allow us to go further, I am pretty much sure landlords also lose a lot while she deals with customers like that.The communication toward renter is terrible unfortunately.

Jessie at JJ Real Estate gave me lots of help through the process and made me feel at ease and confident with my decision...Would highly recommend.
