Fantastic place for young kids and old. Professional set up, Matt has gone all out in fitting the space out for all to be taught well and spectators to be looked after. Highly recommend Rakuen Martial Arts.

My grandson has been under training for one year ,as a veteran I can recommend this school of defence , instructors are tops and care for their pupils.they give the kids a understanding of discipline and self worth and thought for others.well worth the low fees and self defence is certainly needed in today's world but a the same time taught not to look for trouble just handle the bully.he is six now ! At first my daughter had little confidence and was very hesitant and shy about taking part, but through Sensei Matt guidance, genuine care and amazing teaching techniques my daughter has more confidence in herself both in and outside the dojo and absolutley loves going to Judo. Cant reccomend it enough!!!

My 8 year old son started judo this year and he has loved it. He has worked hard on his skills and at the same time having a fun! It is great for his discipline, strength, coordination and fitness. Highly recommend it for kids.

I recently (about 8 weeks ago) started training with Matt and the team at Rakuen, this is my first experience of a combat sport after many years playing AFL, rugby, water polo and various other sports. The atmosphere is great with a real emphasis on education and teaching the technical basics of judo. If you're an adult and have been thinking about giving a combat sport a go I highly recommend Rakuen, their approach based on education rather than aggression (like I have seen in a few MMA or BJJ gyms) has been really brilliant for me to start picking up the basics of the sport. Any level of fitness, male or female, and any background in sports can be accommodated by the guys, who are all great teachers.

Great inclusive, welcoming environment. The instructors are patient, encouraging and friendly. Fantastic with all ages, from the younger ones to adults.Highly recommend.
