Had no issues. Meals were served within 15 of ordering, they were hot, tasty & plentiful. Both of us couldn't finish our meals - we had the Angus burger which were very large. Drinks were reasonable, so dinner for 2 under $60 is a bonus these days. Good job guys keep it going.

Have eaten here many times. Mostly food is fantastic and service excellent. Tonight however both were not as good as previously. Maybe a one off?? Hope so....

The bistro manager at this venue are very helpful and accommodating making our dinning experience a memorable one. Food is fresh and generous serving, definitely match most Melbourne City RSL. Good job!All our party of 7 have really enjoyed our break on our trip back from Grampian,hope to come back soon on the near future.

Food was delicious. Although it came slightly late due to the business of the weekend dinner time which is understandable, the manager came to us to apologize and offered a free drink in return. Great service overall.

I had the pork roast tonight, I asked for mash instead of roast potatoes, and the lot was cooked to perfection, a big thumbs up! Dinner was awesome! Pretty disappointed with the serving size of the chocolate cake, given the price.. However, there was no hesitation from the lady at the desk with helping me sign in, Mickey Mouse, thank you! Staff were quite delightful, cheery and happy to offer assistance. Cheers.

Friendly staff and good service but food quality is below average and expensive compared to similar clubs in Ararat and Ballarat. Our table had chips and vegetables with the vegetables not cooked properly and did not look or taste fresh. One of our party being elderly had requested his vegetables to be well cooked but they arrived almost raw. Another person in our party requested hot chips with her meal and she got what she requested. The rest of us got cold and dry chips. My steak was good with a cost of $40 but the vegetables and chips were not hot or tasty. I have been here a few times and it is a shame that no one is checking the quality of food that is being served. I was wondering if whoever is in charge of the food has ever eaten or tasted what is being served. My impression is that they don't actually have a chef but I could be wrong. It is a pity because the frontline staff overall provide really good friendly service.

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff.We oredered Parmas (traditional), pizzas, sausages bacon and gravy and beef schnitzel. Pizzas were mediocre, the rest was perfect. One of the bests in Ararat.

Best place to eat in Ararat! The service was excellent and the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their menu. Great variety of milkshakes too. The food was beautiful and tasty, never had a complain while we were there and the serving size was big. Well worth the money. A splendid experience!

Hadn't gone out of our way to try the RSL for a while after we moved here, but once we did, we found it quickly has become one of our favourite spots to eat! The food is consistently good, staff is very nice, the hours are good as they are open when others aren't, and menu has some really nice creative dishes (we really enjoyed the sesame coated salmon and tropical chicken on our last visit, and the brandy mousse, and the 'deconstructed crumble' dessert the time before, and the parmas are always great - we loved the surf and turf one especially). And all the wine is local!
