IJJF Gold Coast

For me personally, the culture of a Martial Arts School is my primary consideration. I have no interest in training in an environment with poor culture - where ego is allowed to flourish, where hierarchy dictates over community, and where tradition rules at the expense of innovation and development. Times change, and so do our needs as Martial Artists. I rate the IJJF highly as a practical self-defence school with a very challenging training system and a great group of instructors and fellow practitioners.

A great place to train. No egos, no bravado, no one trying to prove anything. A great environment for new comers and experienced practitioners alike. A great amount of knowledge passed on from senior ranks. Small intimate classes which enhances the learning outcome. All aspects of JuJitsu not just grappling. Self defence, throws, locks, holds, grappling, weapon defence, and kuatsu (healing/health/massage). A respectful team to train with, in a learn at your own pace environment. This is a club which puts the art ahead of profits. A rare find in the saturated market of bums on seats" clubs. Highly recommend."
