Rainbow Palace Chinese Restaurant
It's probably my own fatal mistake for wanting decent chinese on Mothers Day. I thought I got in early by ordering takeaway at 6 pm. I was told that there would be quite a wait and that my food should be ready at 730. Considering I was travelling 40+kms for this, I thought that's cool, gives me time to get the kids organised, and head up to Korumburra. I arrive at the restaurant at 745pm to an overcrowded waiting room. After standing there for a further 20 minutes before being acknowledged by any staff someone finally greetedme and told me that my food had not been started yet and it is up to me if I would to continue to wait or cancel my order. I looked at the waiter and said it was after 8 o'clock. I have 3 kids in the car who haven't been fed, and I have just driven over 40kms for tea. I will wait. I finally received my order at 915pm and ended up with 2 kids going to bed hungry because they fell asleep waiting for food.When I received the bill, i got a huge bill shock at $176.50. Even the waiter looked at it and double-checked the bill. The fact that there was no decency to apologise for the wait and no offer for even some prawn crackers for inconvenience, which most other restaurants offer free with all orders regardless. It has really ruined my opinion of a restaurant that I once rated so highly.When we got gome - the food was hot, but average, I couldnt really rate it as anything else. The bill in my eyes should not have been that expensive, and I believe that I have been charged dine in prices, and unfortunately, we will not be returning to Rainbow Palace.Customer service needs improvement and need to learn when to turn the phones off to avoid reviews like mine.

Rainbow Palace Chinese Restaurant
I had heard about this restaurants reputation for great Chinese food and wasn't disappointed. We had a midweek lunch, and they were quite busy, especially with take away orders. We ordered satay chicken and vegetables and lemon chicken, both served with the best fried rice ever. Everything was delicious and generous serves. Definitely will be repeat visits.

The staff were warm & friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, clean & pleasant. We ordered the Special banquet for 2 people & the food was extremely yummy.

Very nice styling reminds me of the 60s and 70s restaurant design and great service with nice western style Chinese dishes that are well cooked and very tasty.

They are not on the menu but askfor the Dennis prawns!!, one of the best meals I’ve ever had anywhere and it’s definitely a secret recipe you will not find anywhere else. Unreal

I can't believe people give this place one star.. it is by far the best country Chinese shop i have ever tried. The food is amazing, prices are high but food has always been great. I moved from the city a little while back and I honestly think this place compares to places that are actually another 30% more expensive. Some people just like to complain. Small family businesses need our support, not to be hounded online because you had a little wait. Maybe you were made to wait as the world knew you needed to learn some patience.. every month I get an order from here and every time i thank the lord that rainbow palace exists and accepts me for me.

A very delicious lunch menu. Staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Not too oily which is great. Only 4 options on the vegetarian menu but very well priced. A full lunch for just over $20 or a generous size plate of vegetarian fried rice for around $15

Took my family to this restaurant for dinner, drove 25 mins because I was told that the food was worth the drive. It was by far the worst meal I tasted. It was bland and flavourless, and didn't even contain any of the ingredient that resemble any other chinese cuisine I had experienced so many times before, and to top it of the service wasn't much better than the food. For five people we ordered a few entrees and some soups, we could only eat 5 Steamed dim sims, and to be honest with you they were horrible, so when I brought it to the manager attention and explained to her that the food was tasteless and not up to scratch, and that i was only willing to pay for our drinks and 5 dim sims, she decided to accuse me of over ordering and trying to skip out on paying for food that I hadn't eaten, that I had driven 25 minutes to have, I was told if I didn't like the food, it doesn't matter I still have to pay, the owner claims he has been cooking for 35 years and has never had a single complaint, I would hate to have tasted his cooking cooking 35 years ago, after experiencing his culinary skills, after honing his craft for 35 years!!! All in all a absolutely disgusting experience all round, definitely not worth the 25 minute drive, I honestly wouldn't drive from kurranburra to kurranburra to eat here!! I would strongly recommend you give this place a miss.
