Shine & Waves Hair Salon Neutral bay

The did a very poor job cutting my daughters hair. The hair was cut unevenly and we had to return back to get them corrected!Moreover, they tried to charge extra after the initial price discussed on phone and when we asked why are you charging extra. They said thats extra “babysitting fee” for my daughter! This was very absurd as we had hardly spend around 10 mins there, and who charges babysitting fee in a salon? We thought this was not right and confronted them and in reply they rudely asked us to leave and said don’t come back again!I have never seen such unprofessional and rude shop in Neutral Bay. I would not recommend anyone.

I decided to get my hair dyed dark purple on my brown hair like a balayage and it didn’t turn out how I wanted at all.When I first walked into this hair salon I showed them a picture of what I exactly wanted and they told me that they could do it. They seemed very professional and sounded like they knew what they were talking about so I trusted them and booked an appointment. A day before the appointment I went and showed them my picture again just to be safe, once again I was assured that I would get what I want.After she bleached my hair, put the colour in and washed it out I noticed that my hair looked more like a pink shade. I questioned her and she told me it’ll look more purple once she dries it. I trusted her again however, once my hair was completely dry it wasn’t even close to the colour that I wanted. The hairdresser said that my hair was too dark and that was the best she could do!She accepted her fault and didn’t charge me. Now I am left with frizzy orange/pink hair. I have since enquired how I could repair my damaged hair and found out that It’ll cost me a lot more than what it was going to cost initially.

I was searching for a new hairdresser and I came across Shine & Waves. I walked in made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the salon. Wonderful experience. That was a month ago. I needed a haircut again so I went back as I had wonderful service first time around. I found a hairdresser on the North Shore that I can highly recommend. More than happy.

I’ve always get my blond hair done by Savannah, an absolute star, and I totally recommend her! The salon is nice and cozy and the service is great!

Rose and Savannah create a warm and welcoming environment from the minute you walk in. I am a blonde and have to trust that my hairdresser is able to achieve the exact tone I want! I have been blown away with my experience; My colour is amazing, and the head massage to finish leaves me feeling completely relaxed. I would highly recommend this salon for quality but also price!!
