Knapsack Reserve

A really wonderful walk. The walking path/trail is also very clear and easy to moderate so it is good for walks with family or with friends. It has several lookouts overlooking a river (which seems to be the Nepean River). Really recommended.

Knapsack Reserve is a favourite local mountain bike area for me with lots of variety of trails. Some fire trails as well as many kilometres of single track. The single tracks are not purpose built mountain biking trails but still fun nonetheless. Being sandstone based and on a ridge line they cope fairly well with a bit of rain.

We did this walk on a rainy day and although we couldn’t see much from Marges and Elisabeth lookout we loved this walk. Easy up to these lookouts but you can get your heart rate up walking down many stairs from the Elisabeth lookout down towards Knapsack viaduct and back. It took us around 2.5 hrs to do whole circle.

Definitely a beautiful trail. I would highly recommend. There is so many different trails for beginners and experienced hikers

Great for walking our on a variety of paths. Need to listen out for bike riders and be aware of dogs off leash.

A great place to either relax in a quiet spot or to exercise on the plentiful walking and cycling tracks throughout the reserve.

I recently had the opportunity to ride the mountain bike trails at Knapsack Reserve and it was an amazing experience. The trails are well-maintained and offer a great mix of technical sections and flowing singletrack. There are options for riders of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders looking for a challenge.The scenery is also fantastic, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's a great way to get out into nature and experience the beauty of the Blue Mountains.Overall, I highly recommend the mountain bike trails at Knapsack Reserve to anyone looking for a fun and challenging ride in a beautiful setting. It's definitely worth the trip!

Fabulous set up great parking but I'll give the bbq a miss next time sausage sandwich was a bit sketchy taste funny with hard skin and cold I threw It in the bin .Egg and Bacon sandwich was cold but couldnt stand the thought of an open bin right next to the cooking plate the health and safety standards are in need of investigation. Overall it was a poor lunch snack

The views were disappointing. We could hear the traffic from the motorway below. Australia has so much more.

Great walk and paths are very clear thankfully. I found the map and signs a bit lacking.Dog friendly on a lead.Overall generally easy. However We started to walk down the path to the viaduct and turned back as super steep and I was being lazy knowing I’d have to climb back up.
