Took posession of our beautiful home yesterday. The staff really took care of us and in an environment where there is allot of negative media about building companies, Beachwood Homes is truly the best and a trusted organisation. Our home is beautiful, well built, the staff are attentive and our site manager took the time to address any concerns.Would build again with them but I don't think I will ever want to leave our gorgous home. Thanks Beachwood!

The quality of work has gone down so much at BeAchwood Homes in Victoria. They used to be premium, now they're cheap. Look elsewhere. Even with an independent inspector it means nothing because the Builder can cover bad work up before its fixed. You just have to believe they fixed it. You can't make them stop with without a long process and by then, they already covered their bad work. The Builder has all the power and the homeowner has nothing.

Our experience with Beachwood has not been good building our first home and we deeply regret choosing Beachwood as our builder. We have just taken handover.At the outset, the sales team were great and general customer service has been good throughout however this has been completely trumped by their poor processes, constant error making and substandard workmanship. Five years ago my father built with them encountering barely any issues. As a direct result, we chose Beachwood as our builder. We have literally faced a completely opposite experience.Attempting to customise (or modify existing plans) is one area they struggle with. One will go back and forth trying to get things right. This for us literally took months of back and forth wrestling. Either over builder errors, overzealous costing for upgrades or refusal to accommodate. This became mentally taxing for us. Some items were still in question months later. Plans were drawn and many errors were made. Changes were instructed yet not actioned properly.After encountering a 2 month delay due to material challenges, our house was finally starting. Here's where things started to fall apart even further. We encountered just some of the following throughout our entire build...- Brick mortar colour did not match what was chosen in the colour appointment- Due to improper installation of external flashing/roofing, water leaked in and caused damage in the ceiling requiring plaster re-patching- Incorrect window size made and inserted. We accepted the error however our plans were never updated to accommodate the change.- Incorrect security camera wiring locations made (even though exact locations were provided by visual representation) resulting in multiple re-patching and mortar fills (which never matched the original mortar colour)- Incorrect external isolator switch location (even though exact locations were provided visually)- Incorrect stair light locations requiring re-patching/moving- Incorrect power and data point locations (even though exact locations were provided visually)- Bowed walls- Bowed internal doors- Front door requiring replacement due to incorrect handle placement even though this was very clear in the contract and was well communicated 6+ months in advance- Overspray on cupboards and other joining sections- Carpet defects (seams ripped, paint and dirt stains)- Over 200 general paint defects (runs, blotches, coverage, chips, roller debris etc)- Window frame corner forgotten to be ordered- Uneven external brick levels (requiring 3-4 attempts to fix)- Cuts into the physical face brick causing a visual impairment but were still installed- Scratches in bathtub (due to trades simply standing in there)- Shower frame patched up with black texta- External foam not cut straight- Render quality issues- Cornices not straight (within tolerance) but still not remedied at the point of installation- Cleaning issues (paint left on window frames, handles etc). The house was left in a very unclean state.All in all we had ~250 defects (largely made up of paint issues) which were discovered by multiple building inspections or at our post completion inspection. The builder then rushed to complete all defects given a handover date was already set. We took possession of the property with 17 defects still remaining with many more discovered a couple of days in. There has been no rush to resolve these with the maintenance team communicating that some items won't even be resolved until January. This is going to be well after we have physical moved in causing a great deal of inconvenience to us given the sheer quantity of issues.Overall, our experience has been appalling. Their processes, constant error making and substandard workmanship on almost every single trade used is simply beyond comprehensible. There was no attention to detail (or get it done right once) and no oversight up the chain. We are not clear what has happened to this company but they have dropped the ball on our build.We are utterly disappointed and frustrated to say the least.

Oh my goodness my partner and I are so happy and thrilled with our experience and the build of our first home. Chris our building supervisor was absolutely sensational and endeavoured to fix every single mistake. In doing so, we are now over the moon with the finished product. I couldn’t recommend Beachwood enough and Chris I honestly can’t thank you enough for your tireless effort and communication with us.

A quality product, professional service and advice, coupled with ongoing & genuine communication throughout the build process has resulted in our perfect home being realised. Thank you to all the team at Beachwood Homes for making our opportunity a reality!

Beachwood were overall great during our build. The tender process was fantastic, with Casey going above and beyond to help us secure land in the Ferntree Ridge estate in Drouin, as well as price up our home. An amazing sales rep that I would rate 10/10.The admin team are fantastic and every step of the way from our colours through to our final build, they were responsive and provided regular updates via email, and over phone as needed. They were always friendly and happy to help. Overall, a 10/10.The quality of our home I would rate a 9.5/10. The paint and tile finishes could have been a bit better, but overall, they have built us a beautiful home that we are very happy with. At the time of handover, most of the issues had been fixed, and only waiting on a few minor fixes. Brad, our site supervisor, was very helpful and friendly, and was willing to meet with us to go through our home as it was building.When we ran into a plumbing issue during our first week (our main had building debris in it causing poor drainage), Casey was able to help us when the emergency plumber was not available, leading to Matt, an owner of Beachwood personally calling us and ensuring the plumber fixed the issue straight away. They were very apologetic for the issue (which wasn’t even necessarily their fault as there are multiple houses still being built around us), and the aftercare team have checked in multiple times to ensure we haven’t ran into any issues since.Overall, Beachwood have been a great builder and have provided a great experience. I would definitely consider building with them again and would recommend them to anyone else looking to build a high spec home.

Enjoyed building with Beachwood Homes who were always professional and responded in a timely manner. Every detail was thoroughly checked and issues were fixed in a timely manager by our Supervisor Kegham and Construction Manager Gavin.
