Bluewater Park Rest Area
Great pace just off hwy nth of Townsville towards Ingham that's actually rather peaceful considering. Lovely park area, clean toilet block, dump point, no shower but creek really short stroll behind toilet block. Community centre adjacent has a outside gym and b-ball court as well. Great place allows 48hr stay once per wk. No BBQs.

Bluewater Park Rest Area
Disability access recently installed to cross the pipeline running parallel with the highway. Very shady spot with playground, toilets, cold showers, dump point, open cricket field and urban forest. Also a community centre on the other side of the park which has social events on Friday nights from 5:30 pm. Food and drinks available. Shop across the road is shut and probably won't open for a long time to come.

Great site for over night. Great new facilities. Drinkable water, playground, toilets and dump point. Only disadvantage is that it could be a bit busy as it has only limited spots and also only one toilet cubicle so you may experience a line in the morning. Hope your business won’t be urgent :)

A great site for a self-contained overnight caravan stay. Space is a bit limited, but there is plenty of open green space around the area.

Bluewater Park Rest Area
Very big area and has lots of space.Clean toilets.Beautiful nature.Saw few animals.It depends where you park but we parked quite far away from the highway and it was quiet.I saw people writing that there are showers but I didnt find them.

Bluewater Park Rest Area
Very nice campingspot. But there are possums in the trees and they will pee on you.. learnt that the hard way. So please don’t sit under te trees when the sun goes down :)
