I have been looking for a good quality butcher in the Hobart area that did not have over the top prices. Steel & Stone is exactly what I was searching for. The meat is great quality and tastes delicious. Service is great, accommodating to our needs, and prices are competitive. I hope to remain a long term customer and can't see why this won't happen.

This review is because for the person who was working this afternoon. Went there at 3:40pm for mince but refused to give, as he was on the process of closing.Very rude lack of customer service not sure how this guy is working there.Am a regular customer and never had a problem with the product, so sad that am giving 1 star...

We ordered a side of lamb. They said that they would call us. A month later we checked on the order. They did not place the order. We reordered. A month later, the same again. Unfortunately, they are not organised.

Brought in a person with a disability. Kindly asked butcher to hold up a small tray of sausages and stakes so the person could choose. Butcher rudely told me he can choose through the glass and there's no way he's doing that. Its one thing to not help, its appalling to be rude about it.

I've been shopping here for a few years now, always a great selection of cuts, helpful staff, reasonably priced and honesty with provenance of meats.
