The whole team at colour kultcha is amazing. Nicole and Kat have both worked on my hair, doing cuts, keratin treatments and styling, and are consistently fantastic with great attention to detail. I leave very happy with the outcome every time.There is always such a positive feeling in the salon and everyone is so vibrant and bubbly. I could not recommend Kat, Nicole and the rest of the team at Colour Kultcha more highly.

Nicole and her team are wonderful, I always leave with a gorgeous 'do and in a great mood after excellent banter with all the stylists!

Tucked away from the bustle of Sydney Road, Nicole from Colour Kultcha is always so lovely and happy to greet you! The salon is clean, welcoming and these guys are always attentive to your needs from offering a drink, top up of magazines to read and even offering to get lunch! I’m always here for awhile to get me blonde. Nicole always makes sure that I’m happy with my colour when I walk out and takes good care of my hair with recommended treatments! Love you guys and will be back for my next appointment.

I was a walk-in and thankfully there was a free appointment with the wonderful Nicole. Staff were really friendly and totally understood what i was after at a reasonable price point. New long term customer now.

My third (and last) visit here was disappointing. I simply went to have my foils regrowth done but when it was finished, my black hair with copper/blonde highlights just looked black with a tinge of brown (at a distance). For $285. I didn’t complain because I thought it’ll lighten up anyway. BUT THE HORROR when I got home. Looking in a mirror in various lighting, I had grey streaks all throughout my hair (apparently overtoned from a Google search)! The next day I was squeezed in to do a correction which resulted in an ugly straw yellow. After I pointed this out, they said they’d tone it down again on the proviso that they wouldn’t do a blow dry because they didn’t have any time. I’m sorry but if you do a bad job on your customer’s hair then you should take the time needed to make sure you fix it without making the customer feel like they’re an inconvenience. Sigh. The end result was a slight improvement to the straw yellow but id lost the copper highlights and at that point I just wanted to leave. It was disappointing to not receive an apology either.Just over a month later, the colour is looking straw yellow so I’ll be buying some box dye to fix it.Very disappointed and I definitely won’t come here again.

Had my hair cut and coloured by the amazing Cat today and she not only heard what I had in mind and met my requests but went above and beyond to make my hair really suit me as a person. The experience with her as my hair artist was an amazing service from start to finish, handled wonderfully and professionally - I really felt comfortable putting my hair in her hands and was definitely not disappointed with the results! All of the salon staff are so lovely as well, and the salon is beautiful, friendly and professional at the same time. All in all a 5 star experience!

I have been following Nicole from Colour Kultcha for over 25 years! From her early days in Lygon Street, to upmarket Chapel street, she knows her craft. Nicole is amazing stylist and colourist and such a dream to deal with. She is patient, understanding and listens to what I want. Over the years I have progressively gone blonder (to hide the greys) and she has worked her magic to make it look ever so natural. So if you are in the market for someone to do your regrowth, or hide those greys, Nicole is your girl!

Booked in with Kat for a half head of foils. She did an absolutely amazing job - the colour is incredible and I will definitely be coming back! Gorgeous studio and great staff energy.

Nicole was welcoming and really knows her colour. My 4 year old son and I felt comfortable at the salon and I'm over the moon with the results. Highly recommend this friendly hair salon that's down to earth, kid-friendly and professional.
