A very good experience every time I go here. The attractive counter attendant, Alex, is always more than helpful. I will return here for all my camera and photo printing needs. Also drones.

I visited the Castle Towers Camera House on 15 March 23 to obtain urgently needed visa/passport photos. The photos provided, both the printed and electronic had a yellow background. The published guidelines state these photos must have a background that is white or light grey. My partner highlighted this color issue to the shop staff who were quite belligerent stating they do 100's of photos and the photos were of the required standard.The provided photos would not upload on the on-line visa application because of this faulty background color. My partner was required to return to the store and was not provided with replacement photos nor a refund; instead new pics were taken and sent to me electronically. It took 5 different files being sent until one was received of acceptable quality. (The last file received appeared to be noted a version 16!!)We took this issue of staff in a camera shop who could not take a simple passport photo up with the Camera House Head Office and of course promised return phone calls were not received.It is also noteworthy that the shop illegally advise customers in writing that there are no refunds on these photos - they would be re-taken. This is clearly a deceptive and illegal/immoral practice in Breach of Australian Consumer Law.In short, a specialist camera shop that cannot take a reasonably simple passport/visa photo, belligerent staff, a shop that does not comply with consumer law and a Head Office that clearly doesnt care.I do not wonder why this retail chain has such a low customer satisfaction rating on Product Review a quality and verified. 2.2 Stars out of 5.

Had a good experience at the shop just recently. My camera had an issue with a charger, and the lady serving me was knowledgeable and helpful even with how to use the camera. Will definitely come back.

Revised review:After initial problems having an item serviced, the store manager offered to help out.From this point, the service was fantastic. Linda was attentive, kept me informed every step of the way, and resolved my issues fast.Linda also has been helpful in offering some additional photography services - which is very useful.Now and again, people make mistakes and service is not at the level expected. The true measure of any person or organisation is how well they resolve problems whenever they do occur. Linda did exceptionally well. Had I got the level of service that Linda eventually provided, I would have had no hesitation in offering a 5 star review.I’ll certainly take future business back to Camera House, Castle Hill.

Always really efficient with getting my films back to me in a short time frame. The Castle Hill team specially went above and beyond to get my last set of film to me before Christmas! Appreciate their efforts during the busy period.

Absolutely amazing customer service. Elijah short guy gave me sooo good advices what to get better for my video blog. Before visiting store I asked my manager on YouTube and she told me that best camera for blogging would be around 1.500-1800 US $, but I had only 1.500 AU. So when I got to Camera House I was ready for high prices and opportunity to get only something really cheap.Elijah suggested me good Canon camera, also they have good choice of tripods. Finally I got everything camera tripod and memory card just for 1.080 dollars. Unbelievable. Thank you so much.P.S. this shop has 3.5 points of 5. I think it's just because people working there their native culture is a little bit different from majority of customers and service seems unobtrusive. But as for me it's right, because I hate when salesguys very annoying. If I need something I will ask.And as for Elijah before I got his attention, he was explaining something very patient to customer, but he was buying cheap stuff. It means that for these people doesn't matter if u buy expensive or cheap items. Really appreciate.

Went in to purchase a memory card for my husband. I had never purchased one before and had a text from my husband for the sales assistant. I made it clear that I was ignorant about the product but that he wanted an exact replacement for the old one that I had in a plastic bag and gave it to the assistant for comparison. The sales assistant then produced a card and charged me $150. I was shocked at the price and mentioned this to the sales assistant and he said if it's not the right one just bring it back" when I arrived home my husband was absolutely shocked and said they have sold you the most expensive in the range it's not the same as the last and the price of the replacement ranges from $15 to $27.I took it back the next morning and they refused to give me back my money but instead offered a cheaper replacement and store credit.When I mentioned that I was prepared to take it up with Fair Trade the sales assistant just shrugged.I haven't been in a camera shop for a decade and most likely won't be in one for another decade. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and will make a complaint to Fair Trade."
