NSW RFS - Cudgegong District

I'm an SES volunteer and was deployed to the Cudgegong RD FCC during the recent Bush Fires, working with the Communications Team for both Ground and Air Operations. The dedicated team of volunteers were both welcoming and shared their extensive knowledge to bring me into their team quickly where I was able to apply my knowledge and their skills to contribute to the huge effort being played out there to support ground and air operations.I want to extend my thanks to all operations at this FCC for their impressive and dedicated work in support of local operations and for helping save so many properties from the fires around their area.It was great to see how four services could happily and cohesively work together to deliver such fantastic operational support to their local and wider community, never saying no and tolerating sometimes extreme pressure to deliver everything to everybody. You are all to be admired and applauded.This FCC should be held up as an example to others around the whole of NSW state for their work in improving and changing their processes to suit changing needs and adapting quickly to external circumstances during severe fire operations.Thanks for giving me so much during my few days with you in January 2020.
