Something Fishy in Penshurst
Visited the place after two years late evening today and was disappointed with the battered fish. There was too much batter and it felt like the batter had sucked in all the oil. Not sure if there has been a change in management but it was nothing like I experienced back then.

yes the food is nice but the service stinks.i was in line, everyone had their order taken but when it was my turn they ignored me only to chat amongst themselves. they are very friendly to customers they know though. zero awareness also as a several weeks before i went in with my friend who has autism, after she ordered the man loudly repeated her order mocking her speech.

Closed on a Sunday in Australia we weren't closed on a Sunday. This is the 2nd shop closed on a Sunday. Best time on a warm Night on a Sunday is fish and chips. Not good enough

Staff are all about customer satisfaction...always happy and attentive... Their food is great too. They are pretty busy during dinner peak periods, which says alot about the quality of the meals they provide. Cash only.

Very friendly staff, super fresh fish with very crispy batter. Great range, grilled or battered, flake to octopus they have something for everyone, $9 for a kids calamari and chips (which is plenty for many grown up people too).. Recommend

Visiting from The US (Texas) and glad I tried this restaurant. Fish & chips were awesome! LOVED the fish! Nice and crispy even after my 5 minute walk home to eat. People were so nice and friendly too! DEFINITELY recommend!

The best fish & chips shop in Penshurst /Mortdale/Hurstville area hands down!! The food is excellent,no complaints there.Only downside is Cash Only Currency". Im sure alot of customers won't mind paying a surcharge for such beautiful food."
