Quiet area, friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms.I like staying here its a nice peaceful atmosphere. Walking distance to iga, and places for food.

Fantastic hidden gem.Great sized room at fair prices and management very kind and helpful.The on-site Chinese restaurant is to die for, the best Chinese food we have had in a long time.We will not hesitate to book here in the futureThank you for a great experience

The location and rooms were very good, the only two things wereNo toilet paper was left in the bathroom/toilet and the other door could not open. I noticed room 3 door was opened but room 4 was locked. I wanted to go outside for a smoke however smoking did not worry me. We had a good nights sleep which was important after travelling on 4 hour bus ride. It is a very quiet area. This was my second time at the resort and i will be back again and recommend it to other family members and friends.Thank you.

I stayed at the resort for approximately 4 months while my home was being renovated.I would like to express my appreciation to Darren and Helen and their friendly team for accommodating to all of my needs while I stayed at the resort.Darren has the ability to attend to any problems that may have risen, during my stay, Darren is a manager who is very knowledgeable with experience in many different areas.Helen has a professional approach, eye for details, she has very high standards assuring that the rooms were kept spotlessDarren and Helen always greeted me with a hello, a smile and a small chat, nothing was a problemThe swimming pool crystal clear and refreshing after a long day at work.The restaurant attached to the resort was clean and inviting with delicious Chinese food ,amazing servings and presentation the friendly staff ensured I was welcomed every time I ate there .Plenty of car parking available not a problem to find a spot, the grounds were always kept clean and tidy, the guest rubbish bins always emptied at the crack of dawn.The room was big and comfortable with a small kitchenette for cooking. The large bed was comfortable with a extra bed in the room for family who came to visit.The bathroom was large with a overhead bath shower with good pressure .A great accommodation resort for a short or long stay close to all facilities, if you don’t want to drive your vehicle there is a bus route just a short walk away.There is also 2 major shopping centres within a short drive a local shopping centre 5 minutes away by walking.Overall it was a pleasant stay, a home away from home.Darren, Helen and team. Stay here for 3 days in the family room, room was spacious, clean and had everything you need, hotplates, kettle, fridge etc, the swimming pool is well maintained and cold, very nice, restaurant at the front of motel offers 10% discount for people staying here, managers are very prompt and helpful, cleaning services every day, would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Brilliant little motel that is clean, neat and comfortable. I stayed here for two weeks and was really taken a back by the quality of service. There has been a lot of effort put into revamping the place which means that it will be even better the next time I come back. Highly recommend as an affordable place to stay in Cairns. We will be coming back!!!

This place was filthy and rundown. When we first arrived I opened the fridge to find a shelf with spilled, dried milk all over it. The cutlery drawer was dirty, so were the sink and toaster. Floors were so bad we had to wear shoes the whole time.There were food scraps (an old chicken bone) under our bed, along with dirt and debris. It’s no surprise that we would come back after a day out to find cockroaches running around.The towels and linen were thin, old and dirty and there was some sort of dried ‘substance’ on the blankets.The beds were lumpy and the pillows were so bad we didn’t even use them.Complimentary toiletries were pre-used from previous guests.Rubbish (takeaway food) was left around the pool. The BBQ plate was full of rat droppings.Washing machines didn’t clean the clothes at all. They came out wet, but not clean, even with a heap of detergent. Hopefully this review will stop you from wasting your money and prompt the owners to improve their standards. This brings ‘budget accomodation’ down to a whole new level.

Nice comfy room well equipped with mini kitchen and bath in our room. Nice pool and garden area and restaurant onsite. It was a cosy stay that I enjoyed. Only negative was the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied which was disappointing. I would still recommend this place and would stay there again if ever back up in Cairns.
