Elwood Sourdough
Without any doubt, the Elwood sourdough loaf is my favourite bread. It used to be sold at IGA Middle Park. When supply stopped there I now drive to buy at their bakery door in Addison Street. Totally worth the trip. No other bread compares!!!

Even though I’ve been living in the area for quite awhile, I can’t believe I’ve just found this amazing place. Incredible bread, such friendly people in the most amazing location. Wide selection of bagels, breads and sweet treats. Something for everyone! And sooooooo tasty!! The location next to the Elwood. Canal is very special too! I love this place! A class act! Highly recommended!

We stopped in whilst riding our bicycles along the canal and the bakery was just closing. We were generously given a delicious loaf of sourdough rye from the bakers own table. This didn’t last long when we arrived home and it was much appreciated. Matt and Lucas from Eltham

The cheese and Jalapeño bagel was to die for!!!!! Delicious!! Great little store near the corner of Chapel St and Carlisle St.

I have only good things to say about Elwood Sourdough. I always tell everyone how amazing every item is. I am so glad I’ve stumbled upon this little piece of heaven! I could live on the “Crackers” they’re to die for!

The new addition to the area, on corner of Carlisle st and Chapel st is such high quality bread it will be a rival to so many great bakeries in the area. My husbands client just asked for a recommendation for good bread and I didn't hesitate to direct her here.

This new bakery has just popped up on the corner Carlisle and Chapel in Balaclava. Stopped in met Tracey - she was so friendly! The sourdough is absolutely divine, this is a very welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

Was at their new shop at Chapel st, was greeted by Meishan who was so friendly and professional with sourdough and even have tea for customers. The bread was also very lovely. Will definitely come by again for try the other sourdough breads!
