Tamborine Mountain State School

Winning elementary school of the year for all of Australia and constantly being ranked in the top ten says it all. Those who have given poor reviews obviously had issues themselves. They shouldn’t blame others for their problems.

Very much aligned values. Looking forward to the growth of our daughter as a whole.

I attended this school in 2009 when I was in year 3, I only stayed for about 6 months as in all my life I have never been exposed to such terrible teachers and students at a school, I was physically and emotionally bullied by students and was not at all supported by the teachers they did not care that I was alone in class or on my breaks, I was not supported in the class room as I did struggle academically and I was given no help or did not once feel like the teachers I had wanted to help me and see a change in my education! I’m hopeful that the school has changed over the years and has better awareness of bullying and better teachers but in my opinion this school did scar me for life and I have so many terrible memories from it.

I made a million friends (more like 30), and nearly everyone of them I'm still in contact with! They still constantly support me with what I'm doing and I miss them loads! It's a great school with funny and skilled teachers! There are lots of things to get involved in like the choir and band! It wasn't perfect, but what is?

TMSS is a great school and has the awards to back it up. The staff and administration care about the children. We are very happy with the way the school views education. One thing I really loved about it recently was the arcade day, which encouraged the children to create their own arcade games out of cardboard, wood, etc. No iPads, no computers, no phones, but hands on materials. Watching the children happy, going wild while playing with their hands really moved me and made me joyful about the decision to have moved to Tamborine Mountain. I would like to thank the staff publicly for everything they do.
