What a fantastic team at Wauchope Vets! Every member is professional, knowledgeable but with a huge does of understanding, compassion or humour. What ever is needed, Michael and his team can deliver. Whilst our Furbaby/Son is apprehensive arriving at the WV front door, he loves Michael, misses Tinto, and feels part of the extended family and Wauchope Vets.

I hold this practice in the highest regards. Michael is possibly the best veterinary surgeon we have dealt with. Only other veterinary surgeon that is equal is Caroline Hatton from Maryborough vet clinic, now retired. He has been taking care of my 6 cats one now deceased an my 3 dogs one now also deceased for over ten years plus a herd of sheep and cattle on the occasion I have cattle. I have been very happy with the service and the care given to myself, and my pets and livestock.

I had a 9.30 am appointment yesterday for my dog Emma who has a lump in her throat. I have to say that I am profoundly disappointed by the young female veteranarian. Twice she never failed to tell you about how she or you are running late and watches the clock like she is doing you a favor. Her manner on both occasions is off putting to say the least. I thought I was paying for a 30 minute consultation and paid an unsatisfactory 82.00 for 15 minutes. I was given 2 choices. Pay the exhirbitant 700 for surgery or go on a less satisfactory option of antibiotics. 700 dollars. Perhaps she thinks she is practicing in double Bay with million dollar incomes. This is wauchope. Not the Eastern suburbs!!!I am that disgusted with how I was treated. She jabbed Emma twice with the same needle telling me about different pockets. She did not clean the area before and used the same needle twice. There was no care about infecting Emma with a contaminated needle. I am shocked.700 to do a job that should have cost 100. No choice of clearing the area of hair to see where the problem might be. No choice of using an ultrasound to see if an object is lodged in her throat.This vet is Not and I repeat not the type of vet indicative of a country vet. She has absolutely no bedside manner and makes you feel like you are a number in a queue and that she is doing you a favor even seeing you. Then she rushes you out the door if you don't pay her exhorbitant fee. I feel like I have been ripped off! 82 dollars. For 15 minutes. What a complete joke. I may as well have gone to my. Mechanic down the road. I would have got the same result for a consultation. Nothing!

I honestly cannot thank Michael, Elise, Julie, Janelle, Jess & all other beautiful staff at Wauchope Vets! After an incredibly challenging 8 months for myself and family, Michael and his team have been nothing but compassionate (to myself and English Staffies), understanding, empathetic, flexible and gone a above and beyond for myself and 2 dogs. THE EXACT type of vet you want for when your non- human babies aren't well or need something routine. I would honestly be lost without this clinic.From the bottom of my heart, thank you all!!I recommend this vet to ANYONE.. if travel is required to get there.. just do it!

Michael and his team are not only professional, but also very compassionate and caring. They are very supportive of animal welfare and shelters, particularly Wally’s Dog Rescue and Port Macquarie Animal Welfare Service.Each year they put considerable time and effort into hosting Santa photos for owners and their pets, supplying the staff (including Santa), location and a lot of time each year to make it all happen. They do this all for free with all the money raised from the photos being donated to Wally's Dog Rescue and/or PMAWS.

Unorganised staff, high costs and just a lack of care makes the experience a horrible one.An ear swab is $39 at East Port Vet, and $74 at Wauchope. $400 just for a pet to be put under not including the cost of procedure, meanwhile East Port will do the entire procedure and put your pet under for $393.One experience with Wauchope was the staff forgetting to write down the details so I had to pay another $58 for a re-examination" because of their incompetence.They treat your pets like livestock rather than family members. You get better care in Port.UPDATE: 09/12/20Today I had to come back to the Wauchope vet to lend moral support to my mother who had to get her malteese cross put to sleep; and she was insistent on "going local"; never again thank god.The actions in this vet today only cement my original points. The level of complete callousness and lack of professional decorum is gob-smacking!The head vet decides its a great time to talk about my honest review just after they hand my partner the body of my mothers dog. Then proceeds to "inform" my upset and confused mother that the review was unfair.They only decide to stop their interrogations after my partner reminds them that this isn't really the time.I was wondering why they were being uncharacteristically (as well as they can) considerate through the euthanasia; only for me to realise it was an inauthentic.I wont ever step foot in here again

Just had our cat Armani's teeth done. The quote came in but after procedure was just over half so happy and very impressed. Just makes me confident and happy to recommend Wauchope Vets. Armani back to normal very quickly. Thankyou to all.

Wauchope vets have been outstanding with my pug, from puppy vaccinations and check ups to tricky and different issues they handle it with the outmost professionalism and compassion, they understand that a pet isn’t just a pet but a family member.
