Intuition Music School

Initially, the communication was very clear and organised. During the term, it has been a difficulty in organising payment and the structure about the lessons and method of teaching.

Unethical and poor business practice as well as horrendous communication. My daughter used to have a passion for music until she took piano lessons here. Pu-Yu's abrasive teaching style literally drove my daughter to tears every lesson. I had hoped that it was just a personality thing but have sadly heard similar stories from other parents who kids have previously learnt piano here and have since left the school. Despite this, we persisted here with my 2 boys as their Drum and Guitar teachers can not be faulted. Sadly after a few years here including supporting the business during COVID lockdowns through online lessons (not ideal for a deaf child). Both boys lessons were unexpectedly and without explanation not renewed for the next term. The advice given that unfortunately their timeslots had been taken by someone else which devastated the boys. It was only after we sought to change the timeslots and finally in the 2nd week of term that we were advised that the boys had actually been suspended from the school due to breach in their code of practice (i.e. them not wearing face masks). This was not initially communicated as the reason and is actually discriminatory against my elder son who in fact has a medical exemption. My younger son always had his and whilst he often forgot to put it on, (kids) noting he is only 10 years old and not used to wearing it because it wasn't mandatory in any other setting for someone his age, he would put it on if reminded to by a staff member. Regardless of what justification the school feels they have for expelling the two boys, the way it was communicated was horrendous with total disregard for any feelings the children may have about it. There was no pre-warning about potential consequences. Intuition were not upfront about the reasons the boys were not allowed to continue their lessons, meaning that making alternative arrangements for them to continue learning their instruments will now be difficult as other schools are already well into term.

What a wonderful music school. My son has thrived learning the drums with Craig. His confidence has soared and watching his enthusiasm is delightful. Craig is very patient and goes above and beyond to help the learning experience to be more enjoyable. I can highly recommend this school.
